Wow, finally, i can talk to my favorite writer! Happy

Here are my questions:

1. Do you have any official image of Tren Krom?

2. Does hero factory disturb you?

3. Could you try making books bent on the core themes? (Castle 2013, Galaxy Squad, etc.)

1. What happened to remaining membes of iron tribe after reformation of Spherus Magna ? Did they become the part of new society ?

2. Are the forms of Metru Nui Matoran after rebuilding equally strong and tall as their original forms ?

3. The Bohrok were designed to clean the face of Mata Nui. But when he awoke, he still had to break trough the barren island. Shouldn't Bohrok clean that as well ?

1) One would hope.

2) Not sure I understand your question

3) No, their job was not expose the face. Since Mata Nui was traveling from world to world and observing, having the face visible for any length of time before he actually rocketed off increased the risk of discovery and possibly invasion by native life forms

2) Well, after Bohrok-kal story arc, Turaga have rebuilt all of Matoran into stronger, taller forms, because they were diminished from Matoran spheres...

I would assume they did the best they could to come close, but whether they hit it exactly is probably doubtful.

1) No

2) Why would it?

3) It's not really up to me, Hogan. It's up to a publisher to want to do books on those lines, and then want me to do them. In general, a publisher is going to want to focus on lines that are likely to be around three years or longer, because otherwise they risk having books coming out when they toys aren't ... and the toys are free advertising for the books. So, for example, a 2013 line that was not continuing  into 2014 (at least, not with new sets) wouldn't make sense for a publisher to focus on.

Even with BIONICLE, they didn't start doing books until 2003, when they knew it was going to last a while.

1) No idea

2) 2015 sets for all lines are still in development and won't be going into the showroom for a few months yet.

3) It's not revealed in the story bible,  just that he passed away at some point after the 2013 storyline

4) No idea. I have no involvement with the TV show.

  1. The Tahtorahk wanted an "answer." Was there an actual question, or an actual answer?
  2. If there was an actual answer, would it happen to be "forty-two?"
  3. If there was an actual question, would you ever tell the community?

The question he was asking was how did he get to Metru Nui.

Alright, so I'm not going to try to get any information out of you about the summer sets that we aren't supposed to know. I'm just curious how much of what has been seen at Toy Fair so far was in the original Chima story Bible? Don't reveal any new information, but how much of the following was covered in the Story Bible before Legends of Chima was released?

Scorpions

Lavertus

Sabre-Tooth

Fire Chi

Dom de La Woosh

Rukus, Runk, Bladvic

Again, none of this is information we aren't supposed to know yet. I'm just curious if this was the plan from the start.

I just read Ninjago Graphic Noel #9, and you did an excellent job(As usual) on EVERYTHING. The entire storyline literally felt as if it took place exactly after episodes 27 and 28 of Ninjago, save for the Ninjas using their old Kimono costumes(Why were they using those? And why did Lloyd use his green Kimono uniform in the story, and yet use his Techno Robes in the short story at the end?) and the Nindroids being active.(Didn't the Blackout mentioned in the story shut down the Nindroids too?)

Which leads me to wonder-how much did you know about episodes 27 and 28 when writing the story? I know the Graphic Novels aren't meant to tie into the show, but it feels like it did. Even with that moment where Nya and Cole were having a "moment" ties into the show. Did you know about the "love triangle" that far ahead of time?

And for the record, who do you think Nya should be with?Joking

1) He wants to rule them

2) I don't understand your question

3) No. Makuta's real form is antidermis, which is not made of metal. So if he left his armor, neither of those Toa could affect him.

We get a bible for each year of Chima, so anything that shows up in that year will be in that bible. I have no idea how far ahead the Chima team plans story, since I am not on that team, so I cannot answer what was or was not planned at the beginning of 2013.

1) Most likely, it's a matter of what reference is available to the artist. They may not have had finished 2014 minifigures at the time he started the book.

2) As for your q regarding the blackout, I am not sure how far along they are in airing the new episodes, but that would get answered in the TV show.

3) Yes, the Nya-Cole-Jay thing was in the story bible, which normally contains a synopsis of each episode.

4) I like Jay better as a character, but I think that Nya would be happier with Cole in the long run.

But if the 2003 Teridax had vanished... How would he be able to summon the 2001 Teridax?

Ah, see, that is where you are getting into alternate timelines, Botven. It's like this:

Timeline A has 2003 Makuta use the Mohtrek to summon 2001 Makuta. 2001 Makuta dies in 2003, eliminating 2003 Makuta.

At that point, Timeline B is created where Makuta died in 2001 and none of the events he was involved in from then on in Timeline A ever happened.

Again, it goes back to the example I cited before. You go back in time and accidentally cause the death of your grandfather. You HAD to exist to go back in time and cause that to happen, but you CAN'T exist because he never brought your father into being. You have created a paradox, and the resolution of it is the creation of a new timeline in which you never existed.

Ah, I see... That couldn't happen in real life, but it's an interesting concept for the Bionicle world. Thanks for answering those questionsSmile Your help is much appreciatedSmile
