1) Possibly, though I have a feeling the disks used to make one would be rare. I don't think we would want too many of those masks in the story.

2) I would say yes

This fascinates me. I always found it interesting that a mask of power would be used to transport between dimensions, and the idea that multiple characters might own the mask intrigues me.

First off, if such masks were desired, couldn't someone who owns one teleport to other dimensions and steal them? An Olmak thief? I imagine he could create a dimension-hopping army and slowly conquer more and more pocket dimensions...

Second, if such beings who owned the Olmak did not exist in the Matoran Universe as of when Brutaka mentioned there was a second Olmak, did all all pass away at that point? Had they been ordered eliminated by Teridax? Helryx? The Shadowed One?(I still wish we knew his name...) Had they passed away naturally? Or are they able to mask their presence?

Finally, considering the Kanohi Rode does not involve time-travel, would you imagine being able to use more of those in the storyline?

1) Possibly, yes. But ... I don't think we have ever shown someone from the MU using a mask stolen/taken from another universe. What if there are subtle differences in their creation, or the creation of the beings there, that would render the mask useless here? Interesting question.

2) We don't know how many there were, that's the thing. There might have a total of three or four, meaning only one or two would have to either meet their end or lose their mask somehow for Brutaka's words to be true. I doubt this was a mask that was in mass production, because its power could just as easily be used to bring invaders here from another dimension.

3) Yes, I can't see why not

Iave a fairly specifique question: When the toa Metru where exploring the island of Mata nui, looking for places where they could build Koros, they fed a tiny ammount of power into some stones, making six toa stones. What happened to these stones? Where they the ones used by Takua to summon the Toa Mata?

Yes - if you read "Maze of Shadows" it details the Toa hiding the stones. It was these stones that Takua then used nearly 1,000 years later to summon the Toa Mata.

So... What happened to them? If there's six stones lying around with the power to turn matoran into toa... I can see how someone evil would like to exploit that...

They hid the stones all over the island, and only they knew about them/where they were. Then when Takua rescued each of them nearly 1000 years later, they each told him the location of the stone they hid, and he went and collected them, and used them to summon the Toa Mata.

Why did the movie animators avoid showing what a character looked like without a mask?

1) I haven't written a Hero Factory comic in ages and ages. We haven't done that many.

2) Bulk

3) Jay

4) I write some of them, but a lot of the others are written by our other staff writers.

Two reasons:

1) There was no real story reason this needed to be shown in the movies, and...

2) Doing it would have added to the budget, since an animation would have needed to be done of a Toa faceless. There was no reason to spend the money if it wouldn't add anything to the story.

Hi Mr. Greg

It was one BS01 MENTIONED: While lacking the raw physicality of Many of Their creations, Great Beings-have ethereal Greater powers. They are ble to manipulate Many facets of Their creations, and can APPEAR to em invisible at will, as well as Being Able to Communicate to em across dimensions.

I don't consider these to be powers. I consider them to be products of tech. If you program your creations so they can't see you when you choose them not to see you, then they won't see you. That's not a super power, it's computer programming.

Well, it would make sense that, if they were still intact, they were brought back to Metru Nui when the Matoran returned. I am not really sure how they could be used for evil, though -- they do one thing, they help destined Matoran turn into Toa. Someone who isn't destined to be a Toa wouldn't get much use out of them.

They contain an ammount of toa power, so Velika could use one to change himself into a stronger form, the Shadowed one could probably rtap into the power and give himself extra ones, Ahkmou could se one to change hmself ointo a atoa... I could see quite a few uses for them which wouldn't be too good for the heroes of Sphereus Magna...

You're assuming they are still intact and have power. The stones may well have been destroyed when Makuta was killed, or their power may have been used up when they were used to send the signal in 2001. At any rate, Velika would not need them, TSO could most likely not access the power, and it's clearly stated on BS01 that Teridax was lying when he told Ahkmou that he was destined to be a Toa.
