I have a question regarding the planned bionicle 2010 sets, I believe said sets were original going to involve plant hybrid models, redesigned glatorian, and elemental lords(correct me if this information is wrong). Do you know how far into development these sets were before they were cancelled and replaced by the stars. Also did you ever see any prototypes or concept art for said sets, and if you did could you describe what they looked like?

They were never in development, Chirox. The storyline you are referring to was never reviewed and approved by the story team. We were having an initial meeting to discuss storyline direction for 2010 when the announcement came that the line was cancelled, so no story or set work for anything other than Stars was ever done.

Will any new BIONICLE 2015 info, story, maybe maps, comics or something, be in the LEGO Club Magazine in 2015?

Got buried.

Also

2.) You've said before that the blue Fikou have adapted to watery regions, does this extend to coastal regions as well?

3.) What Rahi do you get asked most about here?

4.) Can you guess my favorite Rahi?

5.) Alongside the Orange Fikou, would Green Fikou also have adapted to the jungle regions?

Alright then(that was a great idea though). One more question, was the decision to cancel the original bionicle made in 2008 or 2009?

The story team was informed in September of 2008.

Hello Greg. Quick question on Vortixx society. Should a Male and Female Vortixx climb the mountain. And only the Male returns, what would happen?

Forgot I still had this LEGO account. Bionicle hype brought me back!

1. I have no idea if this was already asked, but what was the reason for the cancellation of the original Bionicle line? Did the sets begin to sell poorly, or was LEGO just ready to be done with it/feel it had been exhausted?

2. Out of all of the comic artists for Bionicle, who was your favorite to work with?

3. Do you think the new line will still hold an appeal for the older fans, or is it intended to pass the franchise entirely onto a new generation?

Hey Greg:

1) Are matoran who have been created with severe (beyond what Karzhanni can work with) physical defects or glitchy AI "recycled"? Is it even possible for matoran to suffer from these?

2) Will there be any friction between the MU inhabitants and SM inhabitants?

3) Can matoran AI be "reprogrammed," and if so would that be considered unethical?

4) Do you think MU inhabitants could have organic nervous systems?

A) - Can a Matoran use the Nui Stone to transform himself/herself into a Toa via absorbing Toa Energy?
B) - Is that how Tuyet became into a Toa?

No, I had sushi once, and steak tartare once, and really didn't like either one. I prefer my food cooked.

Hello Greg.

I know this isn't your department, but it's about MNOG and MNOGII. Simple question though: if a named Matoran in MNOGII has the same mask, job, and coloration as an unnamed Matoran in in the first MNOG, is it safe to assume they're probably the same Matoran? For example, in MNOGII, the Sanctum Guard consists of two Ko-Matoran named Talvi and Pakastaa. They both have white and dark gray colorations, and wear a Kakama and Huna, respectively. In the first MNOG, the two Matoran guarding the Sanctum look exactly the same, just diminished from Makuta's spheres.

Also, yes, I am aware that the names in MNOGII were never approved. I'm asking because BS01 has tabs for each Matoran: "Metru," "Diminished," and "Rebuilt." If they're the same Matoran, we can add a picture to the "Diminished" tab.

Hi Greg,

There's another discussion BZP, this time about the Nui Stone and how it can't turn a Toa into a Turaga. You were asked earlier whether a Toa who was drained of all his/her Toa Energy by the Nui Stone would turn into a Turaga. You said no, since a Toa first has to fulfill his/her destiny and also has to CHOOSE to give up his/her Toa Energy, instead of having it forcefully taken from him/her. We were wondering how that works out with Toa who have already completed their destiny. If a Toa who already completed his/her destiny were to be locked up for a long period of time in the vicinity of an activated Nui Stone, long enough for the Nui Stone to completely drain the Toa of Toa Energy, what would happen? We saw these possibilities:

1) The Toa would be left with zero Toa Energy but remain a Toa. Since he/she never gave up any of his/her Toa Energy willingly, and will never be able to do so again because he/she is "empty", he/she will never be able to turn into a Turaga.
2) The Toa would be left with a miniscule amount of Toa Energy, some tiny last bit that even the Nui Stone couldn't drain. The Toa could later give this bit of Toa Energy up to become a Turaga.
3) The Toa would be left with zero Toa Energy and remain a Toa, but the Toa could still mentally develop further and come to a point in his/her life where he/she would say "If I would have had the choice, I would have given up my Toa Energy now. It was drained before I was ready to become a Turaga, but now I am ready to become a Turaga." and this change of the Toa's mental state and attitude towards life could trigger his/her transformation into a Turaga.
4) The Toa would be left with zero Toa Energy and turn into a Turaga. This however contradicts what you said earlier about Toa having to CHOOSE to give up their Toa Energy.

Which, if any, of these options is the correct one?

Many thanks!
