5) Yes

So do they have electronic components, or is it because it would affect the the AI?

Well, we have discussed the notion of their being some sort of a power plant, so it is safe to assume something like that could be affected by an EMP, the same way Iron Man's power source is.

5) No idea what you are referring to.

The spirit's wish is a sophisticated device of teleportation created by the GB on Spherus Magna. Resembling An ornately-decorated archway. It is in the serie The riddle of the Great Beings.

Hello Greg

1. The inhabitants of the tribe of sand (Vorox and Zesk) are the only ones to have been genetically modified by the GB?

2. The sight of the inhabitants of the MU is identical to that of humans or it is more like that of a robot or a little of both?

3. The specie of makuta have evolved. Is what this mean that all the species of the MU like the matoran can evolve?

4. Is what Velika has evolved the makuta specie?

5. The organic protodermis has a structure cellular and DNA and a genome?

6. The inhabitants of MU can leave a fingerprint?

7. Is what Tren Krom is made of organic protodermis?

8. Tren Krom is the only Creation to be completely organic? If not is what these beings are somewhere in the MU and Spherus Magna?

9. Is there wildlife in the MU? as forests and jungles.

Are the elemental powers that the five Glatorian have hereditary? Like could the children of those altered Glatorian retain the abilities their parents had?

I wrote my first BIONICLE comic before the first sets were released. I wrote my first BIONICLE book in the summer of 2003.

Did you ever say anything on that?

I am not familiar with them, since they were not sets I had to put in story, and I am not interested in doing wholescale canonizations of promotional sets. I don't see what purpose it serves other than provoking more howls of protests from the existing fanbase.

Just for the record; a lot of us in the fanbase are fine with these cannonizations. I think eveb more then those against. We're just not as loud about it.

This isn't really commenting on cannonizing these sets, but just in general there's been a lot of tension about that kind of thing lately, and I wanted to make sure you know there's tons of us out there who wouldn't even consider yelling at your for something as small as canonizing a Toa team name. It's just the few who do tend to be noticed more easily.

Hey Greg:

1) Can a Toa of Psionics create telekinetic barriers?

2) One thing I never clearly understood was why Toa need to channel their elemental powers through their tools in-story. They can channel it through their hands, as shown by Lhikan, and some Toa like Varian don't need to channel powers at all. Kopaka said that the tool was a"focus." Does channeling powers through a Toa tool make utilizing them easier, or more efficient or something?

3) I believe you said a Toa could channel his/her powers through any tool. Does that mean a Toa could channel his/her powers through any object? For example, could a Toa of Fire theoretically channel his powers  through a frying pan?

4) How long would you say it takes a Toa's EP reserves to recharge from completely empty to full? (A couple hours, a whole day, etc.)

5) Aside from absorbing more of their elements, can they make their reserves charge faster by say, eating or sleeping?

6) Can an MU inhabitant's mechanical systems self-repair to a small degree? For example, I mean you're not going to use Toa energy for a punctured piston, but what if you have no tools?

Hi Greg,

Do you happen to remember if the name for the Kanohi Volitak (Mask of Stealth) was derived from the Latin volitare, meaning "to flit about, to flutter?" The idea of "flitting around" like a ghost seems consistent with the powers of the Volitak. If you don't remember, I totally understand.

Thank you!

No, it was just picked off the approved name list.

Thanks. But apparently it is considered enough of an issue that a fan site felt it necessary to do guidelines about how questions on canonization should be submitted to me, etc. And, frankly, some of what I get asked to do is canonization for the sake of canonization -- it doesn't clear anything up or improve anything, it just adds stuff ... and BIONICLE already has a lot of stuff Smile

Well, it seems like you guys want to have a debate over what the last Toa should be, so I see no reason to rush a decision. Might as well let you fight it out Smile

Well, the 2 things that people seens to have come up with is:

1. Toa of Air, as it would "replace" Nidhiki after his betrayal.

Or

2. Toa of Fir, that would, together with Lhikan manipulate/absorb the Kanohi Dragons fire breath.

Maybe... "We" should make a poll? Smile

Theres a poll running over at BZP on the matter.

Greg, I have several questions concerning the way the poll should go. Should Ice be removed from the poll? There are already 4 Toa of Ice in the team, and I think someone mentioned that it was always stated there were 4 Toa of Ice.

Secondly, how long should it run before we bring forth to you the results?

Thanks...

1) Yes, five Ice Toa would be excessive.

2) That's up to you guys.

For that matter, did you ever state that the Toa Mangai was only of the 6 main elements, saw someone say that, or could he/she have been Iron, Lightning, Plantlife, Sonics... Etc.?
