1. Why did Artakha create the Nuva Cube?

2. Is The Shadowed One's species the same size as Teridax's shadow titan form?

1) I don't believe so, no

2) Well, a better question would be when was it decided that romance WOULD be canon, and the answer is never. Romance never made sense in the context of this universe, nor would it have made sense that Velika would have given anyone that trait. It served no purpose. This was, at the end of the day, a machine and the point was to keep the machine functioning. Love in terms of love of friends made sense, because that inspires loyalty and working together. Romantic love, on the other hand, might cause one to ignore their work, or get into personal disputes that would affect their work (which is why dating in the workplace is frowned upon). Considering that among humans, where love serves a purpose in helping the species to continue, the concept of "romantic love" did not exist until the Middle Ages, I couldn't see why it would have any reason to exist in BIONICLE.

Think about it - if tyou could give the parts of your car personalities, would you feel the need to make them fall in love with each other? Do you really want your brakes fighting with your engine, or your exhaust pipe daydreaming about the fanbelt? No. To the GBs, these were parts that made a big machine go, not a social experiment, and even to Velika, there were boundaries he saw no reason to cross.

2. But you have said before that it was put in at the beginning, when "you didn't know Bionicle would last more than a year"

Dear Greg,

Was it ever revealed why Zaktan turned into protodites when the Shadowed One's eyebeams struck him? If not, I have a theory as to why if you want to hear it.

Well when he and the other Piraka were raiding Makuta's lair, Zaktan immediately recognized the energized protodermis pool. What if he had an encounter with energized protodermis before, maybe while he was a slave in the protodermis mines. Maybe he had been exposed, but the changes were so subtle no one noticed, but it had basically turned him into a Skadi-Protodite hybrid. Then when the Shadowed One's disintergrater beam hit him, he split apart and became mllions of protodites, kind of like how protodites self-dupicate when struck.

Tell me what you think. Is this a viable explaination?

Greg already answered that it was his nature.

"Now the leader was making gestures of his own, evidently asking Lewa’s point of origin. The Toa of Air smiled and nodded, trying to show he understood, and pointed in the direction of the fortress. There was an immediate murmuring among the villagers, not at all a happy sound. The next thing Lewa knew, the points of countless spears were at his throat."

This is quoted directly from one of your serials, Reign of Shadows. Why did Lewa tell the Agori that he was from the fortress created by the Golden Skinned Being? Also, why couldn't they understand each other? As this took place after the Great Spirit Robot possessed by Makuta was defeated, and Mata Nui unleashed his power reserves to make it so the desert that was Bara Magna became lush and specifically that the GSR inhabitants and the Magna inhabitants could understand each other, why were they unable to communicate?

I know I'm not Greg Farshtey by any stretch of the imagination, I can clear a few of these up for you.

1) Yes.

2) Yes. The weapons were in the Suva (or some random crate near it), and if different Matoran were to become Toa, they'd find the same 'crate'.

3) I think only normal Matoran can become Toa. Nui are technically a different species being a fusion, sort've like how Vortixx and Skakdi can't become Toa if that makes any sense at all.

4) Yes. Look at Turaga Nuju's version.

5) I can't answer this, but probably.

6-9) The Barraki (meaning 'Warlord' in Matoran) were a group of, well, warlords who were orginally supposed to lead the Matoran...or...something. They then decided to become dictators and formed the LoSK. The Barraki are all different species and I (think) that they are one-of-a-kind, but there might be more in their own Kingdom. As Greg has stated earlier, he thinks in words – not pictures, so it's doubtful that he actually thought of the Barraki's original forms, probably leaving it up to the fans for speculation and MoCing.

10) They probably could manipulate their own armor, but then why would they want to? Most of it is intertwined with their tissue, and unless they were the BIONICLE equivilent of surgeons they probably wouldn't want to mess with their own body. Joking Also, yes, they could probably make their own weapons if they can make spikes, though it would take a lot of concentration and it would completely consist of metallic protodermis. Imagine a sword made of 100% metal. Metal hilt, etc.

How come not all of the BIONICLE characters were in the BIONICLE story website?

1) They became part of the fused being in one of the BIONICLE serials.

2) Velika has never revealed himself to be one to Kazi.

3) Mata Nui's body resembled a Toa in 2009 storyline, I don't recall off the top of my head if he called himseld a Toa at some point in the movie.

4) I don't believe his fate has ever been revealed.

5) There were a LOT of BIONICLE characters by the time BIONICLEstory.com started, You could never have fit them all on there.

3) What WAS Mata Nui when he was given a form on Bara Magna, anyway? It's already been confirmed that Toa and Glatorian are very, very different species. Did the Ignika decide to just simply give him a form similar to that of the inhabitants of the planet? And if so, what would've happened if the Ignika had accidentally picked an Agori as his base form?

Also, if he was in fact a Toa, what element would he have? Life?

Why didn't Velika show kazi and his friends that he was a great being?

I'll try to answer these.

1) A fused being is...well...more than one being fused together. There's not really much to it. Joking If you're referring to when the Piraka became one being in Vezon's Lair, it's because Vezon's Spear of Fusion – which is self-explanitory – fused them together as a distraction.

2) Why didn't he suddenly throw off his disguise in Karzahni while he was being 'fixed' and destroyed Karzahni on the spot? He was there to study and observe, not get involved. If he was going to reveal himself, he would've done so long before Voya Nui.

Hey Greg,

With all the new talk and appearances of the mask of time (And the mask of time appearing identical to the one Vakama made), I was wondering if the two Bionicle series could be at least connected enough to have Vezon from Gen 1 be able to appear on Okoto. Not saying this will happen at all, but could it be possible? I guess I am really asking if Okoto and Spherus Magna could exist as parallel universes/dimensions.

Thanks!

But not by the story team - by the web producer who thought it would be cute. The story team never made a decision to include romance in BIONICLE.

Because the villagers Lewa was talking to were not present when Mata Nui did that, and so were not affected by it.

He had a Toa body. The Ignika did not know how to make a Glatorian body, because it was designed for use in the MU. That does not mean he WAS  a Toa, simply that he had a Toa body.

I can't speak to this. I have no involvement with Gen2 and no idea what they may  have  in mind along these lines, if anything. Questions on Gen2 really need to be asked in the BIONICLE forum.
