Hi there Greg Farshtey!

I've been a fan of BIONICLE ever since it began and, just as it does for you, it holds a special place in my heart.  I've followed all of the serial updates, tidbit facts that you generously provide us with, and hilariously so, still struggle to pronounce the Kanohi Ignika correctly.  I know that you're a busy man with your wife and daughter, and that BIONICLE is not one of your top priorities at the moment so I will try to be brief.

Lately I have been feeling as though there is a small hole in the lore:  the Mask of Creation does not have a proper Kanohi name like the Mask of Life and Mask of Time. Considering that it is one of the legendary masks of the Matoran Universe I felt that it should be named. Now, I know that LEGO will not allow any more legal names to be approved for the 2001-2010 BIONICLE universe and that the only canon names remaining are TSO's name (which, appropriately so, I thank you for not revealing because I agree with you on all accounts) and a list of bad ones that are lost in your basement. So we are at an impass clearly.

However, while searching through a Facebook page I learned of an old trivia fact:  the Kanohi Avohkii was originally meant to be called the Kanohi Korusca, which EA games accidently let slip at a press event.  I did a Google search for the word Korusca as you say happens during the preliminary portion of legalizing a term, and I could only find that it is the name of a city in Croatia.

So, I'm asking you on behalf of the BIONICLE community, if the word Korusca is still within LEGO's legal limits, is there any way we could name the Mask of Creation this? It would mean a great deal to me.

I sincerely thank you for reading this, hearing my thoughts, and for doing everything you do for BIONICLE.

I have no idea what the current legal status of Korusca is. It was never on my list of approved names, and I have no idea what name, if any, the new team may want to assign the mask so I am hesitant to give the old one a name.

Hi Greg, great to see this thread still active.

Regarding my actual questions;

1. Artakha made the toa Mata in case mata nui ever needed awakening, right? What does that mean in the context of mata nui being a robot? does this mean that there was a period where mata nui was awake and active in his giant robot form before or after the shattering?

2. Does Artakha pre-date the mata nui robot, was he ever on spherus magna beforehand?

3. if so, how did he come to be creating toa inside the great spirit robot?

4. could the strange text and artwork described on the mask of creation in the serials be agori or great being language?

Thank you for still sparing your time to tell all these bits of trivia.Thumbs up

1) Before. He was built and launched before the planet broke apart, as I recall the timeline.

2) Artakha existed while the robot was being built.

3) Because he existed in the robot whilte it was being built, the same as the Matoran who built the robot did.

4) Great Being language would be Agori, but I don't recall offhand what I intended for that to be.

1: What does the Mask of Psychometry look like

2: Why didn't Macku become a ToaCrying

1) Don't know. I don't think in pictures, I think in words.

2) Because the story team as a whole opted not to go that way. It wasn't my decision, so I don't know what went into it.

I habe two more question. How do the great beeings look and what happened with Marendar?

1) Not something we have ever described

2) Nothing has happened with Marendar. The story is essentially frozen where we left off.

1:What were some scrapped story ideas, characters, locations and any other things.

We came up with way too many story ideas in a given year in brainstorms for me to remember any given one. If they didn't work, their lifespan was  usually 10 seconds or so. As for characters and locations, I can't remember any that we scrapped completely.

1. If you never imigne how Mask Of creation looks in old Bionicle, you could simple say that it looks like that in new Bionicle. It's not change anything in original story if MoC have shape like that in new Bio.

So if you could just say that in old Bio MoC looks like that in new it would be cool, it small thing but help grow a little our knowlage how things looks in oryginal story.

2. And other question, did Marendar kill already some Toa ? or not ?

1) No, I can't. That would be established a connection between old and new BIONICLE that I do not know the new story team wants established. If it will someday be decided that the old one and the new one look the same, that will be something for the new team to decide, not me.

2) Story is frozen where we left off, so no.

Greg could you help me find a way to ask the the New story team questions, thanks.

If you have new BIONICLE questions, they should be posted in the BIONICLE forum here. Hopefully, a moderator or a member of the new story team will be able to get you an answer

Hello Greg I have some Hero Factory related questions seeing as I plan on making a darker fan made( Non Cannon) film on Youtube to finish off and wrap Hero Factory and some cliff hangers and plot holes.

Question #1: What ever happened to Stringer and Nex. I have heard that Stringer was attacked by a Brain during the Brain Attack and was defeated and revived, but neither have been in the core story since Breakout.

Question #2: What are the coresponding colors from Jumper to Beast if any?

Question #3: If so,what type of Jumper was in the Cocoon on the Team Alpha ship?

Question #5: Are their any coresponding colors from Cocoon to Jumper?

Question #6: When did Breez,Bulk, and Rocka fight the "Scorpion Beast"?

Question #7: Did Evo ever need to use his Ultimate combo machine? If so, when?

Question #8: Could Thresher rejoin Team Alpha and be upgraded if he wanted to?

Question #9: What power source do the standard robots use?

Question #10: What are the names of the unamed member of Team Alpha, the unnmaed villain he fought during Breakout , "The Mysterious Villain" from Brain Attack, "The Scorpion Beast", and the mech the heroes used to fight said beast?

Question #11: Who got the Villain Factory plans from Black Phantom.

Question #12: What ever happened to the beasts?

Questions #13: Are any of the HF promo sets cannon?

Question #14: Was Rampant Oceans ever planned to be released, or any of the other unproduced Hero Factory Episodes?

Question #15: What power source do Von Nebula and Core Hunter use?

Question #16: Are the beasts and creatures from Brain Attack robots?

Unfortunatey, my only involvement with HF was the five books I wrote. So questions about the story in general are not ones I can answer, as I was not part of that story team.

Thanks for answering my questions. I thought of some others but don't know whether you'd be able to answer them or not (the first two in particular because of familiarity with the media involved).

1. Are the Piruk-resemblant Matoran Slaves in 2006 media such as Voya-Nui Online Game canon Voya Nui Matoran?

2. There was a Ko-Matoran with a silver Akaku in the Toa Metru promo CDs. Was this the Metru Nui version of Matoro?

3. In the BIONICLE 2 movie, various Matoran appear in the Metru Nui era, but their forms are that of their Bohrok-rebuilt one as their models were reused from the first BIONICLE movie. Can we assume the colours and masks of their Mata Nui-rebuilt forms reused here are the same as their actual Metru-Nui forms?

1-2) I don't have info on this.
3) Barring someone pointing out why this absolutely could not be, I think that would be okay.

Endangered by who? By what? A professional baseball team normally has 25 players, does that mean the team is endangered?

You once said you had "plans" for The Shadowed One. What were they? And which Dark Hunters (if you had decided on any) would play a major role in those plans?

I did, but those plans date back five years now and frankly I only have a vague memory of them.

Wow! Thank you so much for the prompt and incredible reply!

I just performed a more in-depth TESS search (or Trademark Electronic Search System) on the United States Patent and Trademark Office and scanned the vast records of trademarked and registered terms for Korusca and I could not find any that were 'live' (the holder of which is using the term) nor any that were 'dead' (a former holder abandoned the use of the term).  According to the USPTO, the word Korusca has not been used as a registered or trademarked term.

Also, I completely understand your reservations with this specific mask because of its tie-in to the 2015 storyline, but considering that LEGO is trying to steer clear of the 2001-2010 BIONICLE universe for many business-related reasons, wouldn't this in effect allow us more freedom to coin the term?

Thanks again for all your support!
