I have questions ...

1 Could a great being modify powers that work only on MU beings to work on organic beings as well?

2 According to the wiki Pahrak Kal melted to the core of Aqua Magna and died, but it doesn't have a core or magama, since its just a chunk of Aqua Magna, so is it possible that Pahrak Kal is just stuck in a VERY deep hole

3 Can Arthaka make more great disks, and by extension more masks of time?

4 can Piraka form natural kaita?

1) Not sure. I tend to think not in all cases, maybe in some.

2) If there is no core, then he went out the other side and quite possibly died in space.

3) If he had the raw materials, one would assume so. But from a story perspective, I would never have added more than one Vahi, it unbalances the story.

4) Can they? Maybe. Would they? No.

Here are my questions on Bionicle:
1. What are your views on the new Bionicle? Are you dissapointed at the sudden change and liberties LEGO has taken (not to mention the generic names), or relieved that they brought it back, no matter the changes.

2. I heard that the age it was targeted for was greatly dropped, is this true?

3. Was the Bionicle story in 2010 resolved completely, or was it never properly ended? I read the comics for Journey's end, but heard that you continued it afterwards.

4. I heard that Bionicle was expected to last until 2020. Is this true? Was there more ideas for the future that you never had released?

5. The BAttera. What happened to them? Where did they go?

6. Just Makuta questions. Someone told me they are Antidermis in armor. Also, I never found how they came into existence.

Thanks,

Powermaster146

Hi PM,

1) Since I work for LEGO, asking me my views on a theme are sort of like asking a Honda employee what he thinks of the new Civic. Answer's going to be pretty obvious.

2) I would disagree with this. BIONICLE sets were always targeted at around 8-9 years old. It was the communication that was targeted to 11-12 year olds. And I don't know if they intend to continue that or not.

3) Only in the serials. We ended it as best as we could, given that we had to scramble somewhat to wrap up a three year story in essentially one year.

4) I never heard that and I doubt it's true. BIONICLE sales were softening for some time prior to 2009, so I doubt anyone would have expected it to run another 11 years.

5) Nothing happened to them. They are still advancing.

6) The Makuta were created by Mata Nui, and yes, they are antidermis in armor.

No, not something I recall. That was a long time ago.

No.

I have a followup question. Had the fanbase not of reacted poorly to Teridax's name, would you of revealed the Shadowed  One's name?

Possibly. But one thing to keep in mind -- that name was never trademarked or anything. So the fact that it was legally approved for us all those years ago does not mean it would be legally approved now. Someone else could have claimed it, or something close enough to it that LEGO would not want it used. So even if I wanted to reveal it, it would need to go through Legal again, and there is no budget to get Gen1 BIONICLE names approved.

How does it cost money to see if it's trademarked and stuff? You just use google to see if you can use it.

Google is only going to tell you if it shows up on Google, maybe if it means something in another language. You have to do a legal search to find out if something has been trademarked, in the US or internationally. Remember, someone could trademark something but not be doing anything with the  term right now, making it less likely it will show up on Google. So you have to get the Legal dept. involved.

powermaster14, you probably didn't hear that it was supposed to last until 2020. What you probably heard is this: Greg said on multiple occasions that there was enough story material in the story bibles to last another 20 years. I personally remember him stating that around 2006-2008. In other words, if sales had continued to be strong, it certainly had the potential to last that long. Unfortunately LEGO noticed sales were dropping around 2008 and decided to end it in 2010.

1 Of all the Barraki, which one in your opinion is the most redemable

2 Does magic exist in Bionicle? becuase the Dark Hunter Conjurer seems to think so

3 Can the golden skin fusion infuse matoran with Toa energy, or can only a Great Being do that

4 Is it possible for Miserix to regain his inner light?

Can you tell us what YOU call the shadowed one?

How many Bionicle books were there?

And did you make the story alone, or with help? I saw a Bionicle book by C. A. Hapka.

1) I call him the Shadowed One

2) I think somewhere in the neighborhood of 30, but I'm not sure

3) The overall BIONICLE storyline was created by the story team, of which I was one member. Cathy Hapka was the first author used by Scholastic to do the books but she was not on the story team -- like Ryder Windham, the guy doing the new BIONICLE books, she was an author hired by the publisher. She did a few books and then I took over for the remainder of the run.

2. But Aqua Magna has its own atmoshpere and gravity. He'd be somewhere underwater if he came out the other side of the planet, it's possible that the pahrak kal was mutated by pit mutagen, but this is just speculation.

4. I think the reason he's referring to this is the non-canon skakdi fusions of 2006.

Hello Mr Greg

1.The slowness power of the Makuta can have an effect on someone as fast as Pohatu with his Kakama nuva or Umbra? If so, at which point its speed will be decreased?

2. A Makuta can plunge an entire island as Metru Nui in darkness? Also, The Makuta can create a shadow dome that envelops a wide area? And finally the Makuta can control the negative gravity and the anti-gravity with their gravity powers?

1) Yes. I do not have specific stats on how the power would work in this case, since we never used it in story that way.

2) I am not sure what you mean be negative gravity. As for the darkness power, I have no stats on the range of the power.

Okay, but can they create a dome of shadow with their elemental powers of darkness?

Yes, but I don't know how substantial it is going to be. It's a shadow, after all, it's not made of iron.

I meant a dome made of solid shadow

Also, There's a question I asked myself, what's would happen if the GSR landed in a planet with a very elevated gravitational level? is he going to flatten to the ground like a pancake or his systems will allow it to adapt itself to this level of weightlessness?
