Hi Mr.Farshtey,

1) Is Protosteel more resistant to TSO's disintegration eyebeams than other subtsances?
If yes, does that mean Protosteel would be less damaged by any disintegration powers, still compared to other substances?

2) Makuta powers such as Heat/Cold Resistence or Limited Invulnerability have to be activated consciously or they just remain active passively?

Buried.

1) Yes

2) It's a good question, I will have to check on it

Hey Greg, what is likely to happen to an av-Matoran that puts on the Kanohi Kraahkan?

Followup question: Does the Kraahkan always shadow blast non-Makuta or can its owner control that function of it?

1) Well, as a non-Makuta, he would get blasted the second he touched it. I doubt he would be able to put it on.

2) No, it is an automatic function

If I recall correctly (and someone tell me if I am wrong), I believe we said Toa were 7.2 feet high. So the way to judge the height of other characters is to compare their sets to a Toa, because they are in scale.

Not to poke my nose it, but i remember that the Kanohi Ignikas colour was sort of light a health gauge for how "alive" Mata Nui was. I think that the mask turned silver after Matoro used it because, while it did technically bring Mata Nui back from the dead (hence why it stopped being black), it did not bring him back to "life" (hence why it didn't turn gold). Mata Nui was left in a sort of coma, so the mask turned silver.

I have a question about The Awakening. According to BS01, none of the MUians were given full sapience until after the robot launched, and that even when the toa mata were defending the matoran in karda nui, they weren't fully sapient.

1. the actions of many characters in the story during that time period don't really make sense if they weren't fully sapient at the time - i.e. hydraxon's personality while training the mata, the toa's reactions to that training and personalities they had, helryx's motivations and actions, including the formation of the order of mata nui to replace hand of artakha, etc.

2. since the toa mata were in stasis for all those years, they wouldn't have been able to get the "update" if you will, granting them sapience.

Just a quick answer -- we talked about Matoran  gaining sapience as a result of what Velika did ... not Toa. We never said the Toa did not have it from the beginning.

Interesting.... so were the matoran the only ones who weren't fully sapient?

Was it intended then that a matoran who became a toa would suddenly become sapient?

Totally unrelated, but mac or pc? And android or ios?

1) There most likely were others who weren't either, pre-Velika. But Toa had to be because of the nature of their jobs. A Toa can't just do pre-programmed work, he/she has to be able to adapt to dangers and think on their feet.

2) Yes

3) PC. Haven't worked on a Mac since '96. And I have two mobiles, so both.

1. So would it make sense that velika used the pre-existing sapience of the sapient ones to.... "spread", if you will, to the others?

2. so it would be like they were just born then, when they became a toa... is that why velika made the matoran sapient, to make it more... humane, for lack of a better word?

3. is one for work? which models are they?

I'm fairly certain you're correct on that. Sadly I can't find a definitive source to confirm at the moment, but that doesn't really matter if we both agree.

This is a followup question to what ankas asked. Which toa sets would be used to make that height comparison? Their size is different every set wave pretty much. Thanks!

Hello Mr. Farshtey, I have a few questions regarding the Zyglak.

1.) Is there some kind of hierarchy with the Zyglak? Are there leaders? Do they work together? Or do they all hate each other as much as they hate everyone else?

2.) Going off that, do the Zyglak work together simply to survive or because they care/ally for one another? Similar to the Barraki's situation in the Pit?

3.) Were all Zyglak created at the same time or were they created singularly until the Great Beings realized their mistake?

4.) Is or was there a first Zyglak? Similar to Toa Helryx being the first Toa created?

5.) How many Zyglak were created by the Great Beings?

I have a couple questions.

1. What makes Heat different from fire?
2. What would happen if a Krahka got infected with Hordika Venom
3. Which of your character's are based off other fiction/myths.
4. What is your favorite mask design?
5. What is favorite power that is not an element?
6. If you had time/permission would you join the Old Bio Roleplay?
7. What is the one character you don't like?
8. What made you pick your Username?
9. What LEGO stories are you writing currently?
10. If LEGO gave you the permission to continue the podcasts/serials would you if you had the time?
11. Do you wish you were on the new Bionicle storyline.

How did Ihu die? Or (in BIONICLE Adventures #6), when Nuju names the Mountain after his mentor, does 'sleep of shadows', only refer to his sleep in the Matoran Pods, rather than death?

What about the Pit made it so hard to escape from?  Was it merely Hydraxon, or was there something special about the prison itself?

Do you know what the Shadowed One's name is?  Obviously, you have kept it a secret (for good reasons), but do you actually have a name for the Shadowed One which you have decided upon?

A question about the Toa Kaita.  When the Nuva/Mata combined, they made two Kaita, named Akamai and Whairhua.  Let us say that, in theory, the Toa Metru had decided to enter their Kaita forms.  Would their Kaita also be named Akamai and Whairhua, or could they concievably have different names?  Or, to rephrase, is Akamai simply the name of the combined spirits of any Fire, Earth, and Stone Toa, or is that simply the name for the combination of Onua, Tahu, and Pohatu?

Thank you so much for taking the time to answer these questions.  It me a lot to me personally as a BIONICLE fan that you are willing to answer our questions.  I deeply respect you, the work you have done for this fandom, and the patience you've had with it, even if we haven't reciprocated that patience.

Dear Greg,

1. Did you ever have powers nailed down for Gaaki, Pouks, Bomonga, and Kualus' Hagah Rhotuka spinners?

2. Are you ever planning on sharing the Shadowed One's name?

3. On the subject of names, did you create a name for the golden-skinned being and could you share it?

4. Did you ever have any other ideas about the Toa Mangai that you haven't shared?

1) Makuta implanted the idea of finding the Ignika and where to start looking in their minds.

2) Don't recall. Might have been a set design thing.

3) Matoro brought it to Karda Nui with him.

4) My favorite locations tended to be places I invented more than places from main story

I remember the answer for why the Ignika turned silver. That was because of the mask's countdown function. One of the mask's powers was that if the matoran universe got too out of balance, the mask would kill everything in the MU to prevent the evil from spreading. When the countdown begins the mask slowly turns from gold to silver, and then from silver to black. When it is all black, it will kill everything. At that point in the story, the Makuta had taken over the core of the universe, in addition to all the other horrible things they did, so the universe was fairly out of whack

I have a couple more BIONICLE questions, these ones about the Kanohi:

  1. Can the Kanohi Faxon be used to imitate non-Rahi creatures, like Skopio or Venom Eels?
  2. What was the idea behind giving the Kanohi Kraahkan two faces, if you know? Just an interesting feature? A subtle commentary on Makuta Teridax's two-faced nature?

Thank you for answering all these questions. BIONICLE was an integral part of my youth, and it was definitely thanks to how you brought all these characters and their world to life.
