Greg, I was trying to figure out how the Kanoka combination system works for mask powers, and I think I have a few Masks assigned, but I wanted to check my results here to see how accurate they actually are. Please let me know the results to each one separately.

Mask of Incomprehension: Reconstitute at Random + Enlarge: mirrors the Kanoka used in the Mask of Translation. Weaken might also be in the place of Reconstitute at Random, but I doubt it.

Mask of Healing: Regenerate + Remove Poison: This seems somewhat obvious to me, but one of the discs used could also be an Enlarge disc.

Mask of Aging: Teleport + Weaken + Shrink/Reconstitute at Random: I am unsure as to the last mask, but this combination does seem like something that would Speed up the targets aging, causing weakness.

Mask of Truth: Remove Poison + Enlarge + Freeze: Similar to the Mask of Translation, but it grabs onto a specific part of the statement, in order to verify the authenticity of it.

Mask of Mutation: Regenerate + Reconstitute at Random: The masks power seems cancerous in nature, changing the target, and then causing the changes to grow and spread.

This is all I was able to figure out right now. Something that might help in the future would be to know other masks that have the Remove Poison disc as a component to them.

Another small question is: what would happen if two toa discs were used to create a mask? What about using a toa disc with a normal disc? (Fire + Teleport, for example)

Semi buried, this is something I figure would be halfway decent knowledge to put out there. Heck, even letting me know that the combinations are incorrect is valuable information, as that basically says there is an unknown mask power with that combination of discs, assuming that every combination of disc has a mask power corrosponding to it.

Also, another question: Do the Nuva masks have a power level corrosponding to if one used level nine discs (great discs) to create them?

Question about the Kaukau:

Is the Kaukau's power limited to liquids, or does it apply to all fluids that oxygen could be extracted from? For example, smoke when in the middle of a forest fire. Chlorine Gas was also presented as a possibility in the chat I was discussing this earlier with, so I figure this would be worth answering.

I don't write for new BIONICLE, Bear, so there is nothing for me to stop.

Hello Greg, first I would like to say that the books you write are phenomenal. Okay, down to the questions.

1) What happened to Lehvak-Kal? Did it fly off and hit Bota Magna?

2) I know this must have been and accident or something by Templar Studios, but how does Onwea have the chisel that can be used to exit the Bohrok nest?

3) Are krana living beings? Do they have a personality? Can they die and go to the red star?

4) What happened to the prototype robot after Mata Nui fixed Bara Magna?

5) What happened to Mata Nui? Is he dormant inside the Ignika?

6) How would you describe life on Sphrus Magna with Matoran and Agori living toghether?

7) If one destroyed the Vahi, Ignika, or Mask of Creation on Sphrus Magna, what would happen?

8) Can you legally finish the Bionicle serials?

9) Where are the Great Beings? Also, can the GBs be compared to human scientists?

10) What is Velika's real name (I understand if you do not want to answer this)?

11) How do Agori and Glatorian live for so long? Also, how do Matoran retain sanity after living so long (and Agori/Glatorian)?

12) Why are beings in the matoran universe assigned names?

13) Could Tahu have simply used his Adaptive Armor to be able to use the Golden Armor? Also, why was the Golden Armor only compatable with a Toa Mata, specifically, Tahu?

14) Is Artakha a unique being along with Karzahini? Or are there more like them?

15) Can any Toa or mask be upgraded to Nuva?

16) Why does Bitil wear a Mohtrek if it could potentially kill him?

17) How did you come up with names for characters, masks, etc.

Thank you for your time. I am gonna go and read Tales of the Masks (Love that book!).

Greg, if you could visit any location in the Bionicle universe (from any time period), where would you pick and why? Smile

This got buried.

I also have more questions: 2) If a Toa removes his or her mask before transforming into a Turaga, will their mask remain Great instead of becoming Noble?

On that same note, 3) Let's say a Toa was wearing one of the more powerful masks like the Vahi or Kraahkan while becoming a Turaga--would the mask devolve in power during the transformation or remain at its current level?

4) Did Takua's disguise as a Ta-Matoran include heat resistence? You'd think eventually someone would've noticed that he wasn't as resilient to it as the others, what with living in Ta-Metru and later around a volcano...

1) I really have no clue. All of those locations are fairly dangerous if you don't have elemental powers Smile

2) Remain Great. If you're not wearing the mask, it won't transform

3) I don't think Legendary masks would get affected that way

4) If there was heat resistance, it was limited.

1) No. It was trapped in orbit around Aqua Magna.

2) Not something I remember. All that Templar stuff was ages ago.

3) I see krana as being artificial life, the way Bohrok are. They are sentient, but not sapient, and they don't have individual personalities.

4) Probably broken down to be used as shelters.

5) No., Mata Nui is the dominant personality

6) Bumpy. Think about how our society would be if we suddenly had to integrate a whole race of, say, cyborgs.

7) Nothing. They affect the MU, not existence as a whole.

8) I would need to have permission from the LEGO Company and someone at LEGO would have to be able to do approvals on what I write. I can't write stuff on my own for a LEGO property.

9) I always saw the GBs as scientist-kings. As for where they are, who knows?

10) He doesn't have one, because I never picked one out for him.

11) I don't living a long time automatically makes you go insane. Why would it? There are animals in our world who live for centuries and show no sign of mental breakdown. And just as those creatures have long lifespans, so do Agori and Glatorian.

12) Makes it easier to do repairs, if you need to. If you had, say, 14 carburetors in your car, it would help if each had a different designation.

13) Because the set we had to work with was a Mata set.

14) Unique

15) If it destined to be so

16) It's a powerful mask, and Makuta are all about power

17) We just generated names that sounded BIONICLE-ish, ran them through Google, added letters as need be, and then ran them through Legal and hoped they got approved.

2) Since I never wrote that chapter, I don't know how they specifically escaped. As for the second part of your question, Bota Magna is part of Spherus Magna, so no migration was necessary.

1) My concern with this is that at some p[oint, someone else is going to ask about this and I won't remember these combinations and end up contradicting myself.

2) I don't think so, no. While the Nuva masks were more powerful, their main advantage was the ability to share powers with those in proximity.

Hi, Mr. Farshtey. I have a few questions about Bionicle for you.

1) In the third comic of the Glatorian series, "A Hero Reborn", Gelu is attacked by a group of Skrall. After he hides behind a rock, one of them says to the others "Drag him out of there... piece by piece if you have to!", and Gelu responds by saying "Now that's a truly disgusting suggestion!" This makes me wonder, does Gelu understand the Skrall language? Or was that Skrall talking in the Agori language? If so, why? Could it be that he was trying to scare Gelu?

2) Is it possible that the Bahrag created some new Bohrok-Kal after they were freed by the Toa Nuva?

3) In the second chapter of The Yesterday Quest, after Orde explains that all of the other Matoran/Toa/Turaga of Psionics were made female because the Great Beings thought that such a power needed to be in gentler hands, Chiara fries a nearby lizard with a bolt of electricity and says "Right, we females are so gentle after all." Why did she end the life of an innocent creature just to make a point? Couldn't she have just shot a bolt at Orde like she did in the previous chapter?

4) Speaking of Psionics, if the Great Beings thought that Orde was a danger with his powers, why didn't they just deactivate him? It was before the awakening so he wouldn't be considered a sentient being.

5) On page 823 of this thread you confirmed that the Great Beings are part of the Glatorian Species. When I tried to edit their page on BS01, I was told that in the past you had wanted to keep their species a mystery, and that you probably just forgot. Is that true, or was it an intentional retcon?

Have a nice day Smile
