Hello, Greg.

1) Woudn't the Avokhii and Kraaknah be considered Legendary Masks?

2) In Legends of Metru Nui, the why do the Matoran who become the Toa Metru already have their Great masks?

3) Where was Makuta after he exited the Maxilos Robot?

4) Why is a Toa of Fire almost always a team leader?

5) What is your personal opinion on The Journey to One?

ByeSmile!

For all intents and purposes, those were technically the Skrall.

The Skrall were the Rock Tribe. Greg revealed on page 329 of this topic that there was an eighth tribe, the Earth Tribe, that lived on Bota Magna and did not participate in the Core War.

1) Oddly enough, no. They're simply unique.

2) The shape and power of a mask is mutually exclusive.

3) Presumably he went straight to the Core Processor to await the GSR's reactivation.

4) Why is the red ranger almost always team leader? It's simply the way it's always been.

Since Marendar tracks Toa by homing in on elemental energy, are the Glatorian that Mata Nui gave Toa powers to (Ackar, Kiina, Gresh etc) at risk of being targeted by it?

These have pretty much been answered above, but I can add a couple things:

4) Red Toa always sold the best, so it made sense to keep them front and center.

5) Haven't seen it.

P.S. Keep in mind that when first MNOG was being designed, no one knew BIONICLE would last more than one year, so no one was worrying about things that might not work with later story.

Well, to be fair, the Mata Nui Online Game is regarded by many in the community to be the holy grail of all BIONICLE media. Nobody treats it as non-canon, so I think it might be wise to go ahead and canonize it at some point.

It's that bad Joking never in the history of this world have serious characters been treated so childishly.

It's pretty much already been canonized, though. A few details might be off (i.e. Lewa getting his golden mask early), but much of the game's plot was confirmed to have happened in the Bionicle Encyclopedia--which I would note was written by Greg himself. Smile

1. So... Is the Earth Tribe a part of the official canon? It's been removed from BS01...
2. Did Takua change out his yellow feet for blur ones when rebuilding himself?
3. Now, I know you didn't write it, but in the short story "Protection", some worm creature takes over bohrok armors. Did Teridax stop them eventually?
4. Can Bohrok be transformed back into Av-Matoran? If so, would they have memories?
5. Were there a lot more of Lariska's species?
6. Relative to a Toa, how tall is Lariska?

Honestly I put them in a third catagory called the "one-of-a-kind" masks which includes the Avokhii, The Krakhaan, the Olisi, and the Olmak. to be  a "one-of-a-kind" mask thier must be very few of them, thier power must be unusual or strange (such as the Krakhaan being elemental or the olmak allowing dimentional travel), and almost no one knows how to make them.
