Considering this is such a small detail in the story, I thought I would suggest an idea I had.

Keetongu lived with the other members of his species on the island in the east chain of the Southern Islands. His species was known for using Tahtorak as mounts, so the tribes kept some nearby in their village. Mostly though, the two species lived separately.

The Order had heard of the Visorak terrorizing islands, and had been tipped off that Keetongu's island was next to be attacked. Removing the species of Rahi that could reverse Visorak poison was not something that the Order wanted, so they sent Trinuma as a diplomat. Without revealing which organization he worked for, Trinuma tried in vain to use his Mask of Charisma. The tribal leader of Keetongu's species believed all of this to be made-up, as their island was very closed off from the outside world. Trinuma didn't want an entire species gone, so he pleaded with the tribal leader. Eventually, after some effort and charm, Trinuma convinced the tribal leader who sent Keetongu with Trinuma to see if the new island was safe.

Trinuma brought Keetongu to the hideaway in Ko-Metru, wrote down instructions on the Great Temple, and promised to return with the others of his species. By the time Trinuma returned to the island, the Visorak had overrun the remaining members of Keetongu's species -- Trinuma was too late. Some Tahtorak living in the village were gone, but the ones on the plains were not. The Visorak knew they could not take on herds of Tahtorak, so they only challenged Keetongu's species.

Dude, quit reposting this. Greg will get to question when he gets to it. Be patient and stop cluttering up the board. It's not fair to other people who are asking questions for the first time. Thanks

Hi Greg,

I want to say Thank You to you and the whole Bionicle team for bringing me such an amazing world. I enjoyed the aspect of the whole storyline since it's beginning in 2001. And I am humbly grateful about the reveal of the Mata Nui Robot. It was the best thing I have ever seen and I enjoyed it. I try to collect the sets every year, and the Bionicle Stars was part of my favourite waves to end the Bionicle theme. You have also aspired me to write Fan Fictions for the Bionicle Universe. It was a roller coaster ride and an emotional journey for me. As I was emotionally invested with the characters and the whole universe. But it has aspired me to write a story that can be as fun, exciting, and epic with some moral meanings behind them.

To me, Bionicle was LEGO's answer to Hasbro's Transformers. With a mix of "Tribe culture" and an Alien technology behind them (A cross between Transformers and Lord of the Rings/Harry Potter)>

Thanks for everything you've done for Bionicle, Greg. It will be a shame to see this thread come to an end. Before it does, here are some questions I've been wondering about.

1. About a year prior to Mata Nui's arrival, the baterra started killing Skrall in the northern region. My question is: if the baterra were on Bara Magna for the 100,000 years prior, why didn't they start killing the Skrall sooner? What were they doing during that time?
2. Related question: were any baterra trapped on Bota Magna? If so, what did they do there?
3. In Riddle of the Great Beings, Tarduk recalls that the Element Lords (besides Earth) were "trapped" at the end of the war. Surel says they have become free and are fighting to get into the Valley of the Maze. My question: where and how were the six ELs trapped, and how and when did they escape?
4. When you introduced Toa/Matoran/Turaga of the Green in Legacy of Evil, you described a Toa of the Green as a "he". Because of this, it was accepted that all Bo-Matoran were male. You later stated that this "he" was a typo, and you had meant for the element to be female. Here's what I wonder. You've stated there could be other gender exceptions like Orde in the MU. Is it possible that the Toa of the Green in Legacy of Evil was one of these exceptions, and Bo-Matoran are actually female?

Ooh, question 4 is really good. I was wondering the same thing. Could there be an exception to the strict gender-element rule?

In these final weeks before the LEGO Message Boards close, I have a few more questions for you

1. Could you possibly confirm the kanohi worn by Zaria and Orde?

2. Where was the Earth Tribe banished to, or were they simply rejects like the Vorox? Did they die out, or are there still Earth Tribe members on Bota Magna?

3. It is evidently possible for the Red Star to take minds from their bodies when beings die, but is it possible for it to transfer minds into bodies below?

4. You've stated before that Takanuva's destiny was going to be ending a 'civil war' between the Great Beings. What would this conflict have been over? Control of the Planet? Blame for the shattering? Would Energized protodermis have had any part to play in this conflict?

1) I don't recall what was suggested for that.

2) They weren't banished to a particular place. They were simply were not associated with anymore.

3) No

4) It was going to involve Velika's desire to take over the society.

1) There has never been confirmation. I was hoping you could confirm your own ideas.

2) That said, is it likely they have their own villages on Bota Magna?

Hi Greg, I was just wondering if you could clarify a few things regarding the time scale of the Bionicle story.

1. How much time, roughly, passed between the arrival of the Toa Mata on the island of Mata Nui, and the move back to Metru Nui after Takanuva defeated Teridax?

2. How much time passed, roughly, between the start of the 2006 story, with the Toa Nuva travelling to Voya Nui, and the end of the 2008 story, with Teridax taking over the MU?

3. How much time passed between Teridax taking over the MU, and Mata Nui defeating Teridax and reforming Spherus Magna?

Thanks very much!

Hi Greg- If you are allowed, would you be able to give your thoughts on BIONICLE Generation 2 (if you followed it in any capacity)? Anything you would have done differently if you had been more involved?

Additonally, I've always been intrigued by the suitably creepy but yet somewhat confusing scene in LOMN where Teridax as Dume talks to Teridax as a pair of red eyes. What exactly was going on there? Was that supposed to be his reflection or was there more going on? I'm a bit out-of-touch

Hey Greg,

You may remember me from your BZPower days. I just wanted to logon and say thank you for supporting the Bionicle community for all these years. I wouldn't be the creative person I am without Bionicle and its incredible story. I finally completed my collection of 2001 sets, and it's made me incredibly nostalgic.

With the LMBs closing, do you know if there's any chance you would be allowed to return to the Fansites? There's still so many things people want to know!

I hope you get to continue writing and creating fictional worlds for LEGO, and if not, please create something new for your fans to explore and enjoy.

Thanks again Greg

There is no explanation as to how Keetongu gets to Metru Nui and it makes little-to-no sense.  I haven't heard anyone come up with a better idea, sadly.  Trinuma needs more character development too.
