I have only two questions. If you have aready answered these, please forgive my ignorance.

1. What happened to bioniclestory.com?

2. Why did you stop writing Bionicle stories?

1) No idea, I don't work on the web side of things.

2) Writing the serials was always something I had to do in my own time, as there was no time at the office to do it. After my daughter was born, my spare time shrunk way down and keeping the story going wasn't a big focus here since the line is no longer active.

Also, What were your favorite themes?

1) Well, I'm here to answer questions. I don't really have time to clown around.

2) BIONICLE, of course, and lately, Super Heroes and Monster Fighters were ones I liked a lot.

Not really something I am worried about.

And I should be able to drop a line to the Chima folks before the end of the week.

1) There was a Time Ninja in the book, I don't remember any diamond ninja

2) I don't understand what you're asking

3) Not to my knowledge

4) Time Ninja wasn't hiding there, he tracked Wu there.

5) Yes

6) No idea. I know pretty much as much about him as you do

7) I don't believe so, no

8) See answer to #6

9) Why? He escaped from the Underworld because the Underworld was a rotten place to be

10) His agents did, yes. He had not escaped yet at that point. He didn't escape until the end of the skeleton army storyline

"Well, you're like the 5th person who said that this week, so, how do I know you're my biggest fan? What if you're like, my 9th biggest fan, or, something?"

-Roughly Quoted from Chatito, Weekly dose of random, Week 11

Many, many people believe themselves to be Ninjago's biggest fan. If someone was the biggest fan, he would have literally every set, and probably multiple dupes, and maybe even worship it or something messed up like that. You don't want to be anything's biggest fan.

Ah, a shame; Takanuva's destiny will have to go down in the record books as another one of the things that could have been in BIONICLE. Thanks for clarifying!

Regarding Chima and Ninjago, I can definitely see where you're coming from as far as that is concerned; I've been monitoring Chima closesly since its launch because I feel like it and Ninjago, moreso than Hero Factory, are the true successors to BIONICLE's story-driven legacy. They each take drastically different approaches with that story, however, and while I personally prefer Ninjago to Chima, I can respect Chima's attempt to develop a complex and ever-expanding mythos and I hope it improves.

I have one more question; I remember the law that was passed which relegated your ability to communicate in the LEGO community. Obviously this site is an exception since it's sanctioned by LEGO, so I'm not sure if this would be viable, but would you be interested in possibly appearing on a LEGO podcast sometime to discuss your work on BIONICLE, Hero Factory, and Legends of Chima, among other things? I understand if you're far too busy/are not able to do this, but I felt I may as well put the offer out there.

Thanks for your time,

Mesonak

Greg, I have some questions (I think that's a given Joking Thank you!):

Back in 2007, there was a short, 2-minute animation promoting the Barraki. Back then, you sanctioned this animation as canon - you said that it was a vision that the Mask of Life gave Dekar. Do you remember this?

If so, I had some questions about the nature of the vision:

1. When did Dekar have this vision?

2. What was Dekar's reaction? Did he just see it as we might see a scary dream, or did he tell anybody? Did he completely forget about it after he had it, like humans forget about some dreams?

3. When Dekar did find the Mask of Life, did he recognize it from the vision?

4. What exaclty was the purpose of this vision? Why did the Mask of Life want him to have it? (On a different track): Was the ability to give visions deliberately installed into the Mask by the Great Beings?

5. At the end of the vision, a tentacle from an unseen source reaches up and drags Dekar into an abyss. Was the owner of the tentacle ever defined, or does it simply not matter? (Or was it an owner too unspeakably terrible to be spoken of?) Joking

6. Just a bit of a fun one, this is pretty much obvious - the animation was accompanied by a Cryoshell song. Dekar didn't really hear that song during the vision, right? Do you think he heard any sort of music at all?

Sorry if this was a bit of a long set... I was always a fan of the Bionicle animations, and I've been wondering about this for a while.

Thanks, again, for the time and effort that you give!
