Thanks a bunch, Greg! I understand where you're coming from. Speaking of characters, one of my favorite things to do is make insane characters, whose actions are completely unpredictable, so I can have them doing just about anything. But with sane characters, I will take your advice.

Cheerio!

Ah, a shame; Takanuva's destiny will have to go down in the record books as another one of the things that could have been in BIONICLE. Thanks for clarifying!

Regarding Chima and Ninjago, I can definitely see where you're coming from as far as that is concerned; I've been monitoring Chima closesly since its launch because I feel like it and Ninjago, moreso than Hero Factory, are the true successors to BIONICLE's story-driven legacy. They each take drastically different approaches with that story, however, and while I personally prefer Ninjago to Chima, I can respect Chima's attempt to develop a complex and ever-expanding mythos and I hope it improves.

I have one more question; I remember the law that was passed which relegated your ability to communicate in the LEGO community. Obviously this site is an exception since it's sanctioned by LEGO, so I'm not sure if this would be viable, but would you be interested in possibly appearing on a LEGO podcast sometime to discuss your work on BIONICLE, Hero Factory, and Legends of Chima, among other things? I understand if you're far too busy/are not able to do this, but I felt I may as well put the offer out there.

Thanks for your time,

Mesonak

I would, I did  not know there were official LEGO podcasts.

Hi Greg,

1. Will you finish the Bionicle stories from bioniclestory.com someday? If not, can you just tell us what was going to happen in them? I know that revealing this here might be kinda anti-climatic, but we've been waiting for 3 years and nothing new was added to the stories...

2. Is there any LEGO theme you don't like? Or like less than others?

3. Is it true than Bionicle was originally going to end in 2008? If yes, why did it last for two more years?

4. Are there any chances of seeing a more Bionicle-like LEGO theme in the future? With more mature story and better developed characters than in Hero Factory?

Greg, how much fun did you have creating the stories fpr BIONICLE and NInjago?

I could probably answer that for you. Joking

LEGO: Yo, Greg! Here's a handful of colorful elemental action figures! Write a story about 'em!

Greg: Okay. Smile *Creates masterpiece*

(Several years later)

LEGO: Yo, Greg! Here's some ninjas in impractical power ranger attire that are trained by Sensei Cliche, and fight skeletons in monster trucks with cliche golden weapons! Also, don't forget to throw in some dragons. Ninjas and dragons are the thing this year. Smile And make sure the Ninjas don't smash anybody. Make em like superheroes ore something.

Greg: wut

thats so so so funny! i have showed this reply to my friends this is hilarious!  lol lol!

Hah, I think I phrased that wrong. My apologies for misleading you.

I'm not referring to an officially sanctioned LEGO podcast, but rather one run by fans that discuss LEGO as the primary topic for the show.

We're not small-time by any means (3,000+ subscribers on YT), but we're not endorsed, sponsored, or managed by TLC. Hence why I referenced the law that was passed a while ago; I'm not sure if appearing on a fan-made podcast would work for you even if you were interested.

Does that sound like something that could appeal to you?

What year did you first become involved in LEGO?  Oh and here's another Chima question:  Why in the world does Cragger mention chicken wings in episode 2 if they don't have chickens?

1) No idea, and I don't know what is going to happen next. I don't outline my stories, I write them as they come to me.

2) There are themes I don't personally build, but that has more to do with lack of space to display the models than not liking the theme.

3) No, I have never heard that it was going to end in '08.

4) I don't know, I have no idea what may be planned for 2015 and beyond. I have  only seen 2014 lines.

BIONICLEstory.com is no longer an active website, it was shut down quite a while ago.

1. Can Toa of Psionics levitate?

2. Speaking of Toa of Psionics, what happened to Varian after the battle on Bara Magna? Is she still in stasis? No one tried to rescue her, or something?

I'm super sorry I am wasting your time. I was writing some stuff convincing you to tell me, but now I undersand how you feel. I'm sorry about doing all this stuff. I'll just do some more research and come up with conclusions. These are some.

  •  Nindroids taking role 100%
  • Zane being hacked 90%
  •  Set names real 95%
  •  Rip-corded spinners 3%
  •  Japanese PWR brands 1%
  •  Ninjago returning in December 85%
  • Ninjago Movie coming 2015 95%
  •  Doomsday Devices 70%

I'm having a problem. In my new school, when I told my friends that I am Ninjago's biggest fan, they wouldn't believe me, just because I don't have all the Ninjago stuff. Dude, There are 83 of them! Plus, a person chould have all 83 and not even know a thing about the ninjas. I'm like a ninja encyclopedia. I'm keeping track of everything Ninjago. Since you work for the LEGO Group. Can you PLEASE write something dubbing me "Ninjago's biggest fan". (Please don't say no to that.)

Ahem, can I be dubbed now.

Am I not going to wind up ticking off everyone else who thinks they are Ninjago's biggest fan?

Nobody else thinks they are Ninjago's biggest fan. Plus, I have hundreds of supporters.Sarcastic PLEASE!!! I know everything about Ninjago. Everything! (Well exept some of the stuff about the new season and barely anything about the Ninjago movie.

GoldNinja, with all due respect, there are bound to be lots of other people who think they are Ninjago's biggest fan. Many of whom aren't on the message boards. Please, be respectful to Greg. Thank you...

 Ok fine

Greg, I have some questions (I think that's a given Joking Thank you!):

Back in 2007, there was a short, 2-minute animation promoting the Barraki. Back then, you sanctioned this animation as canon - you said that it was a vision that the Mask of Life gave Dekar. Do you remember this?

If so, I had some questions about the nature of the vision:

1. When did Dekar have this vision?

2. What was Dekar's reaction? Did he just see it as we might see a scary dream, or did he tell anybody? Did he completely forget about it after he had it, like humans forget about some dreams?

3. When Dekar did find the Mask of Life, did he recognize it from the vision?

4. What exaclty was the purpose of this vision? Why did the Mask of Life want him to have it? (On a different track): Was the ability to give visions deliberately installed into the Mask by the Great Beings?

5. At the end of the vision, a tentacle from an unseen source reaches up and drags Dekar into an abyss. Was the owner of the tentacle ever defined, or does it simply not matter? (Or was it an owner too unspeakably terrible to be spoken of?) Joking

6. Just a bit of a fun one, this is pretty much obvious - the animation was accompanied by a Cryoshell song. Dekar didn't really hear that song during the vision, right? Do you think he heard any sort of music at all?

Sorry if this was a bit of a long set... I was always a fan of the Bionicle animations, and I've been wondering about this for a while.

Thanks, again, for the time and effort that you give!

I wish I could be of some real help to you here, but 2007 was almost seven years ago and I really remember very little about this whole thing.

This is all right, I understand. Thank you anyway...

May I ask another few questions instead? These have been puzzling me as well:

Was there anybody in the MU who was aware that they were actually living inside a giant robot (before it awakened at the end of 2008)? I know that Tren Krom and the Makuta became aware, but did the Order of Mata Nui know? Did Artakha and Karzahni know?

Also, did the Great Beings want any of the denizens of the Great Spirit robot to know that they actually were inside a robot? Or did they want them to remain in the dark, with only a few beings (maybe just Tren Krom) knowing the true nature of the "Matoran Universe"?

I would probably have to check. I am willing to do it, but the rule is that we can't communicate through social media with people under 13 unless it is an official LEGO site like this one. I am not sure how that applies to interviews, though. Let me look into it.

1) 2000

2) Why do you assume they have no chickens in the world? All the animals that exist on Chima have not been shown in the series by any means. I actually had to get special permission to include small animals in a couple of my stories because they did not want to focus on smaller creatures.
