The main ones I write for now are Ninjago and Chima, and I don't really have a preference

No idea. It does not state why in the story bible.

But it says he ate them on his bio on the ninjago site.  So do you think that LEGO having a cannibalistic character is wrong?

One more I just thought of it. Did you make up every Bionicle?

No. I didn't create BIONICLE, it had already been created when I came to work at LEGO in 2000. Most of the BIONICLE characters were created by the story team, which I was a part of. There were only a few characters -- Mavrah, Karzahni, a few others - that were created just by me.

This is very interesting - do you think you could tell us the rest of the characters that you yourself created?

It's not my place to say what is or isn't "wrong" - that is up to the opinions of the fans.

After all this time, I doubt I would remember them, Firox. BIONICLE was a lot of years ago at this point.

I would say its wrong to have a cannibalistic character in a kid frendly franchise.

I am sure there are people who would agree with you, too. I think it would be a bigger issue if Pythor was a hero - -he's basically a monster. I think the other reason you  have not seen a storm of protest is he's not a human character ... after all, there are animals in nature who eat their young, or eat other adult members of their species. So that may have been why there haven't been waves of outrage about "humanoid snake monster eating other humanoid snake monsters," or maybe not a lot of people have bothered to read his bio.

Actually one of my younger brothers was looking over my shoulder(I hate it when he does that) and the first thing he said when he saw the post was:  "Eww!  They put cannibalism in a kids show!  Thats wrong!"  And thats exactly what he said.

And yet many litttle kids are read Hansel and Gretel (cannibalistic witch) and Jack and the Beanstalk (cannibalistic giant) when they are small, and survive. And Pythor is never shown eating anyone in the show, nor is it ever explicitly stated in the show that he did. For that matter, any kid with an interest in animals knows that there are species that eat their young.

I am  not arguing FOR this plot point, simply pointing out that the notion kids have not been exposed to this already is probably not accurate. And the only way a kid will be exposed to it in Ninjago if he a) goes to the website, b) goes to the character section, and c) reads up on Pythor, who is not an enormously relevant character right now.

Actually it is shown that pythor ate a guy in episode 8(the guy he ate talked while in his stomach).
