I agree with this sentiment

Here's the problem. There is no point in doing this when the old sets are no longer for sale. BIONICLE story existed to help sell sets. If it was otherwise, the novel series would have continued past the cancellation of the toy line.

Well, on BZPower some years ago, you stated that every character we know by name (including the various background Matoran, Dark Hunters, etc.) survived the collapse of the Great Spirit Robot and later emigrated to Spherus Magna. (You later specified a few exceptions, of course, such as Conjurer and Varian, who survived but have not yet been able to emigrate.) But among the population of the MU as a whole, about what percentage died in the collapse?

As an aside, do you think the Matoran, Turaga, etc. might come to call the collapse of the MU the "Greater Cataclysm"?

Re: Chat with Greg Farshtey

Hey Greg, do you think any of the following jobs are feasible occupations within Matoran society?

1) Physicist

2) Chemist

3) Police officer

4) Full-time soldier

5) Biologist

6) Programmer

7) Also, do you know which types of Matoran would be good at each of them?

8) I know this sounds like a weird question, but would a punctured lung or brain damage affect an MU inhabitant as much as it would affect a human?

Hey Greg, can you give us a rough idea of the number of soldiers on both sides at the battle of Bara Magna? If it's okay with you, try to answer as many of the questions below as you can.

1) For the number of Rahkshi at the battle, would you say there were:

a) Less than 10,000

b) 10,000-20,000

c) 20,000-30,000

d) 30,000-40,000

e) 40,000-50,000

f) 50,000-60,000

g) 60,000-70,000

h) 70,000-80,000

i) Over 80,000, but less than 100,000

j) Over 100,000

2) For the number of Skakdi present, would you say there were:

a) Less than 10,000

b) 10,000-20,000

c) 20,000-30,000

d) 30,000-40,000

e) 40,000-50,000

f) Over 50,000

3) For the number of Skrall present, would you say there were:

a) Less than 10,000

b) 10,000-20,000

c) 20,000-30,000

d) 30,000-40,000

e) 40,000-50,000

f) Over 50,000

4) For the number of Glatorian present, would you say there were:

a) Less than 1,000

b) 1,000-5,000

c) 5,000-10,000

d) A little over 10,000

e) Well over 10,000

5) Is it safe to say that most, if not all of the 40-50 remaining Toa in the MU joined the battle?

The second part of the 2004 story was based (in the movie, at least) on the Toa Metru finding their mask powers, yet in the 2006 story the Inika activated their Kanohi instinctively.  Why, then, did it take so long for the Toa Metru?

As well as this, did the Hordika keep their mask powers upon their transformation?

This seems to have got lost.

1) Keep in mind that the Inika's masks were organic and able to communicate with them. The Metru's masks were not.

2) I believe so, but they lacked the mental discipline to be able to use them.

1-2) Possible

3) Probably not.

4) Unlikely. That is what Toa are for.

5) In terms of studying Rahi, yes

6) Not sure how much programming Matoran would need to do. It was all done by the GBs.

7) Not offhand, no

8) Yes to the first, but we have no reason to believe their brains are organic at this point.

1) Don't know. It's not something we discussed as a story team.

2) I doubt it. It would be like calling World War II "bigger World War I"

But, what would that look like to the Southern Continent? Would there have been a hole in Karda Nui, and a giant wall of water where that island once was that lead to Karda Nui?

There was a  hole in the roof of the heart and water was pouring into the heart.

It was never given a name, and it can't be given one because there are no more legally approved BIONICLE  names.
