Hey, it's me again. Joking (Probably don't remember me with all these questions! Surprised) I have a question - will the return of BIONICLE be a reboot or a continuation?

Hello, Greg, thank you so much for answering my previous questions and thank you in advance for these as well.

1. Since Zyglak are virtually immune to elemtnal powers, does this make them immune to a Toa seal?

2. Are Matoran and other beings in the MU completely covered in metal or is some organic protodermis exposed. I know that some like Skakdi have a fair amount of organics exposed but what's the general ruling if you know?

3. Can the Mata Nui/Metru Nui Matoran regain their memories of living on Metru Nui after some time or is it impossible?

4. Can Takua regain his memories before living on Metru Nui?

5. Rahi don't reproduce right? So was it up to the Makuta to constantly make new ones? And if so, what will happen to them now since nearly all Makuta are dead?

1) I would say no.

2) In general, organic tissue is not exposed.

3) There might be tech on SM that could achieve that.

4) See answer to #3

5) Yes, yes, and the tech to make more exists on SM, someone would just have to find  it.

Dear greg, how did Velika give the MU inhabatents sapience, why did Mata Nui take the MU inhabatence for granted and did Velika give Mata Nui sapience ?

1) Hasn't been revealed yet, but since it is something that happened all over the MU, it would have to have been either some kind of programming or some kind of a virus

2) Do you think about your white and red blood cells every day, or do you just take for granted that they are there and doing their jobs?

3) No.

  1. Was Voporak given his sensitivity to Time before Sidorak joined the Brotherhood, or after?  I ask because BS01 says that Sidorak wanted his position of power, and it seems unlikely that the Makuta would want one of their current agents occupied with ruling an island.
  2. I know that it was planned for Ahkmou to become a Toa of Shadow in 2008.  Can you recall what his role in the story was going to be before those plans were canceled?
  3. In the promotional image for Trinuma, he is shown to have horns coming from behind his head.  Are these horns part of his Mask of Charisma, or are they part of his body?  If it is the latter, are these horns exclusive to him, or are they a species trait?
  4. Multiple media sources have shown beings like Matoran and Turaga wearing robes and/or capes.  To what extent do other beings wear garments like these, and are their other types of garments besides robes and cloaks?
  5. Due to the fact that Metru Nui had Twin Suns, formed by the Great Spirit’s eyes, would it be logical for the other domes in the MU to mimic this set-up?  After all, wouldn’t it be suspicious for a Matoran from, say, the Southern Continent to travel to Metru Nui and see a different number of suns in the sky?
  6. Which BIONICLE character/group of characters do you think has the coolest name?

Thank you for your time!

1) Sorry, I don't understand your question

2) He had no role in the story. We hadn't gotten that far before those plans were nixed.

3) Part of his body and they are a species trait

4) It seems to be more common with Turaga and I am not aware of other garments

5) I would say no, and here's why. The only reason sunlight was coming through the eyes was because he was lying on his back, looking at the sky, as he would when visiting a planet. When he would be flying through space, there wouldn't be that situation. Also, the Matoran, as originally, designed, wouldn't care  how many suns there were, they would just work.

6) No opinion

Hello again!

The second part of the 2004 story was based (in the movie, at least) on the Toa Metru finding their mask powers, yet in the 2006 story the Inika activated their Kanohi instinctively.  Why, then, did it take so long for the Toa Metru?

As well as this, did the Hordika keep their mask powers upon their transformation?

This seems to have got lost.

1) Keep in mind that the Inika's masks were organic and able to communicate with them. The Metru's masks were not.

2) I believe so, but they lacked the mental discipline to be able to use them.

Ah.  Why didn't the Mata have any trouble, then?  Was it due to their previous training, how to use Kanohi being in their minds on a subconscious level?

Hey Greg, I hope you don‘t mind answering some of these questions:

1) Do MU inhabitants heal faster than normal organic beings (e.g. Glatorian, Agori)? We already know organic protodermis has some remarkable regenerative abilities-as demonstrated by how the Toa Mata‘s organics grew back instantly after completely rotting away in their canisters-so this would make sense, right?

2) Do you think it would be possible for some of the mechanical components in MU inhabitants to have backup systems in case of damage?

3) Do kanohi masks contain some sort of power source, separate from the mask‘s unique power, that supplies the energy necessary for its wearer to function?

1) It's possible, but it's not something we ever discussed

2) I can't really see that, at least  not as I picture them.

3) Not to my knowledge

Hey, Greg. Taking your time to talk to fans really means a lot to me, thanks. I am truly sorry if any of these have been asked before, I skipped pages 100 to 445 of the forum, but here they are:

1.) How many Great Beings are there?

2.) When the Great Being went into a Po-Matoran and became Velika, do you think Mata Nui made the matoran and Velika pushed out the original matoran's "spirit" or did Velika create an empty Po-Matoran and occupy him?

3.) Do you still make more BIONICLE stories in your mind?

4.) Did you ever have to change a character's personality once you saw the character's design becuause you thought the two didn't match?

5.) Do you wish to read Fan Fictions? I understand you cannot.

Thank You

1) Don't have that information

2) I think he pushed out an original Matoran

3) No, I have to focus on the work I am doing now

4) No.

5) I really wouldn't have the time, even if I could.

Just  to elaborate on #4 - I saw the preliminary set designs before I ever wrote anything. I wasn't creating characters before there were models.

Hey Greg, I have a few questions if you could answer them:

1. Was it originally planned to turn any of the Shadow Matoran from Karda Nui into Toa, and if so which one?

2. If Bo-Matoran prefer to live in Jungle type areas, away from civilization, does that make them any more primal than a normal Matoran.

3. To what extent can beings with the Element of Plasma survive heat? To the point of standing in fire, or swimming in lava?

4. In sands of Bara Magna, Berix said he was trying to collect parts to possibly become a Glatorian one day. Does that mean that it is possible for an Agori to become a Glatorian?

5. How strong would you say the elemental abilities of a Turaga Nui be?

I think my post got kinda washed away in the tides of everyone else's posts.

1) When and how Nuhrii, Vhisola, Orkahm, Ehrye, Ahkmou and Tehutti knew the locations of the Great Disks?

My personnal thinking is that Teridax knew them and, with or whitout the help of Nidhiki and Krekka, he informed the Matoran about it, before they know that Vakama and the others were transformed into Toa Metru.
Because, if they had been informed of the emplacements of the Great Disks too early, they would already have to try to catch them for personnal purpose, in view of them behavior in BA 1, in my opinion.

2) The Great Beings had
tampered the Blade Burrowers for that to begin digging a series of tunnels representing the Three Virtues. But, the only Great Being inside the MU was Velika.
So, this is Velika who had tampered the Blade Burrowers, correct ?

1) does Tren Krom made of organic Protodermis or regular organic material

2) does the Agori and Glatorian have a longer lifespan even without the mechanical  implants?

So Voya Nui broke off of the southern continent, that has been confirmed, and in breaking off it created a vortex leading into Karda Nui.

But, what would that look like to the Southern Continent? Would there have been a hole in Karda Nui, and a giant wall of water where that island once was that lead to Karda Nui?

There was a  hole in the roof of the heart and water was pouring into the heart.

I mean, what would it look like from the southern continent?

Hey Greg, are the Brain and Lungs the only "vital" organs in an MU inhabitant?

Nicholas749

Here's a few things that I've given up trying to figure out myself:

1. I think I already know the answer, but just in case, are the inhabitants of Spherus Magna born with their mechanical implants, or do they gain them later?

2. The Great Beings' plan was that two giant robots needed to put the planet back together. Why didn't they bother to reconstruct the prototype--or even build yet another robot--to ensure that this would be successful? Did they just stop caring? In other words, why did they leave only one functional robot when they knew they needed two?

3. What's the difference between solid protodermis and stone in the Matoran Universe? Is solid protodermis a metal or rock-like material? If the former, then is protosteel simply a much stronger (possibly the strongest) variant of solid protodermis?

Thanks in advance! Happy

Thank you again, Mr. Farshtey.  I’m sorry for your confusion on my first question.  I’ll try to explain it better this time around:

  1. According to BSO1, Sidorak desired Voporak’s position of power on Stelt, and hired the Makuta to experiment on him, which resulted in his sensitivity to time.  What I wanted to know was if Sidorak was a member of the Brotherhood at the time of the experiment, or if he was just a clan leader looking to knock out a competitor.

Hopefully that helps.  I also have a few more questions for you to consider:

  1. Could two Toa wearing the same Kanohi Mask combine their powers to create an enhanced effect (ex.—could two Hau users combine their powers to make a large shield)?
  2. What happened to the other members of Dume’s team after they became Turaga, and are any of them still alive?
  3. In response to the last question, there was one Turaga mentioned in Legacy of Evil, who ruled an island near Metru Nui.  Toa Naho went to this island for aid in the war with the Dark Hunters.  Due to the island’s proximity to Metru Nui, could this Turaga have been a member of Dume’s team?
