Is it possible that the Nynrah Ghost who designed the first Zamor Launcher named the weapon after himself?

Hello Greg Farshtey,

When I saw the "Legend Animation" thing, I noticed that it semmed just like the original storyline on Mata Nui Island. So I started to wonder, is this reboot going to completely restart the story? Because over the nine or ten years Bionicle was around before its cancellation, it built up such an amazing universe. Sometimes I wish it stayed simple like it did with the original sets, but now I don't want to lose that universe. Could this Makuta be one of Teridax's many brothers, and Ekimu or whatever his name is really be the original creator of the masks? Artacka or something? Please, I just don't want the story to start over, because then having the first team back would not be as nostalgic. My idea for the problem of having multiple Makutas is that at some point, all the Makutas revive Makuta Teridax, the Makuta from the original sets. Then, he kills them all. Ta-da! Only one Makuta, and now he's even more powerful from eating their souls or something. Please, make this happen. To, me the worst things that happened to the story were the multiple Makuta, the fact that the Toa Nuva got left out so much, and the death of Teridax. If this reboot starts over with the story, that will be the very worst thing. Please, if it's not too late, make this reeboot a coutinuation of the story rather than a do-over. Please.

A very nerdy Bionicle fan,

Nisectus

One other point, which I know I have made before, but I think needs to be made again. The old story lasted for nine years, from 2001-2010. The average 8-9 year old who is the kid most likely to buy the new sets was 4-5 when the line ended, and knows nothing about it. Picking up the old story and expecting them to go out and bone up on nine years of story so they can figure out what's going on in probably asking a little too much. I don't think the new team had any choice but to do a reboot, because too much time has passed since 2010.

Hi Greg!

I have a follow-up question to this answer you posted a few weeks ago:

1) Yes and yes

Dume being from Metru Nui is fine by me, but I think that Lhikan being a native Metruan contradicts previously established canon. I looked up some of the official sources in which Lhikan appears, and Birth of a Dark Hunter states that Metru Nui was his "adopted home", and according to the BIONICLE Encyclopedia, "he first came to Metru Nui 4,000 years ago along with 10 other Toa".

So, could you clear up which version is canon?

Also

2.) You've said before that the blue Fikou have adapted to watery regions, does this extend to coastal regions as well?

3.) What Rahi do you get asked most about here?

4.) Can you guess my favorite Rahi?

5.) Alongside the Orange Fikou, would Green Fikou also have adapted to the jungle regions?

About how old do you think Gresh is? We know that he's young for a glatorian, but does that mean given their lifespans? And how old do you think Ackar is?

P.S. Thanks so much for answering all these fan questions during Bionicle's hiatus.

Are you writing any 2015 ninja books? I read some of the first ones then rise of the snakes and need to catch up on the rest. Lol

Hello!

Let me start off by saying what an honor it is to be able to talk to the guy who played such a fundamental role in my childhood - I want to thank you for your work, and the patience you show when answering the questions of all these fans. I  know you must certainly have other things to do, so I'm very thankful that you would take the time to answer our questions. From all of us to you - thanks, Greg!

Now, onto questions. For the moment, I really own have two:

1. Now that it's clear we are getting a reboot for the new BIONICILE line, will there ever be a chance of continuing/concluding the old storyline officially? Or, if not, would you ever be willing to write your own ending for the fans, even if not official canon?

2. I've been dying to know (really, we all have) - is the "Chef throwing CCBS pieces into the Bionicle Primal Soup" image from NYCC meant to convey you?

If it's not... then is it a Great Being? Joking

1. Was Branar among the Skrall shown in TLR, at Roxtus?

2. Was Atakus among the Rock Agori shown in TLR, at Roxtus?

1. Asking this again for direct confirmation: did any or all of the following list of beings (Hafu, Kapura, Artakha, Axonn, Brutaka, Helryx, Tuyet, Miserix, and Vezon) escape the Great Being's fortress before Velika could kill them?

The following questions assume that these beings did escape; if they did not, feel free to disregard these entirely.

2. How did they escape? Did they use the teleportation powers of Artakha, Brutaka, Miserix, Vezon (which would have required the cursed GB's help), or Kapura? Or did they escape some other way?

3. Did Velika destroy the fortress? Is he aware that he did not succeed in killing his targets?

4. You stated that the cursed Great Being escaped, but that "the heroes" didn't know about it. Did he escape with the company of Tuyet, Miserix, or Vezon (the villains)? Who freed him from his chains?

Thank you for your time.

Hey Greg. With bionicle starting again I've got a few questions:

1.How did you learn about bionicle returning and what was your reaction?

2.For the original bionicle I know you had the story planned out up to web of shadows. Can you say how far ahead the reboot is planned?

3. I know the reboot's a soft reboot, but how closely can we expect it to follow the original storyline? (I know you might not be able to answer that one.)

Thanks.

Hydraxon's "mask" is a helmet. It's around somewhere on the wiki. Probably.

1) I was told by someone who was involved with it.

2) No, I can't, because I am not on the story team

3) Again, not something I have the info to answer.
