I haven't seen the film, so don't know.

Hello!

Let me start off by saying what an honor it is to be able to talk to the guy who played such a fundamental role in my childhood - I want to thank you for your work, and the patience you show when answering the questions of all these fans. I  know you must certainly have other things to do, so I'm very thankful that you would take the time to answer our questions. From all of us to you - thanks, Greg!

Now, onto questions. For the moment, I really own have two:

1. Now that it's clear we are getting a reboot for the new BIONICILE line, will there ever be a chance of continuing/concluding the old storyline officially? Or, if not, would you ever be willing to write your own ending for the fans, even if not official canon?

2. I've been dying to know (really, we all have) - is the "Chef throwing CCBS pieces into the Bionicle Primal Soup" image from NYCC meant to convey you?

If it's not... then is it a Great Being? Joking

1) I don't think LEGO has any interest in "promoting" old story in any way, since it would be confusing for new fans. And I cannot do anything "unofficially," because I work for LEGO.

2) I have no idea what you are referring to, but I doubt very much anything at NYCC would have anything to do with me, since I have no connection to the new line.

Are you writing any 2015 ninja books? I read some of the first ones then rise of the snakes and need to catch up on the rest. Lol

You mean the graphic novels? There are none planned for 2015. I believe #11 is going to be the last one in the series.

Hey Greg, just an idea I had:

You may know of how since the early leaks of Bionicle the Tahu had been given the unofficial title of omega, and people still continue to call him Omega Tahu. Now the three bigger toa sets(Tahu,Kopaka, and Onua)have been unofficially called omega and the three smaller toa sets (Lewa,Gali, and Pohatu) called delta, and some people thought it would be cool if the omega and delta titles were cannonized for a future wave.

I don't expect that to actually happen or even be brought up to the design team, but just sayin'. Thanks for helping to bring Bionicle back. It's my all time favorite theme Happy

This is a very interesting discussion. I really appreciate the time you've taken to answer these questions, Mr Farshtey. I just have a few questions for you.

1) You've said you have nothing to do with the new line of BIONICLE, yet the story is going to be told through books. Since you are not connected with BIONICLE 2015, who will be writing the books?

2) What would you say is the most interesting story aspect of BIONICLE?

I wrote the story and I advised on the screenplay - which means I read the script probably about 25 times and spent hours and hours on the phone with the screenwriter discussing it. So I really had no need to see the movie, I knew the script backwards, forwards and upside down. I own it, but I'd prefer to spend my rare free TV time watching something whose ending I do not already know.

This isn't something I would have any say in. I would suggest starting a topic about it in the new BIONICLE forum here, you have a better chance of someone from the new story team seeing it there.

The whole "Omega Tahu" thing sprouted from way before the leak. It had to do with a dream one of the members of the TTV Podcase (Venom) had. Something along the lines of going into a store where they had new Bionicle sets, one being a rather buff Tahu.

2) At the panel, there was a slideshow, and there was this one picture with a chef throwing CCBS pieces into something called "BIONICLE Primal Soup". And the chef kinda looked like you...

Are Sea Squids immune to pit mutagen? It doesn't seem to affect them in anyway...

Aren't you upset that you're no longer connected to BIONICLE?
