Not specifically, no. All we know about it is a) it was what Teridax used to make those pillars of protodermis while fighting the Toa Metru at the great barrier, and b) it was something he learned how to do during his research into and preparations for taking over the MU. So what I'm wondering is if it could be done by any other being with similar knowledge and power, or if it's restricted to those destined to control the MU: Mata Nui and Teridax (and possibly Tren Krom?), the 'authorized users,' so to speak.

The pillar thing does not mean he could control protodermis. It means there was a system in existence that could make those pillars rise up and Makuta got control of it during the time he ruled Metru Nui. A lot of things in story were presented in one way, because we could not reveal they were inside a giant machine. Once you know they are inside a robot, explanations for things get a lot simpler.

Hello Greg, this was washed away:

1) Is it canon that Takanuva is bigger then the Toa Nuva in Karda Nui?

2) What mask did Takua have(as of his mask being blue, and he most likely didn't get disguesed as a Ta-Matoran with blue mask) before his Pakari?

3) Is it possible that glatorian battle continued but as a kind of sport?

4) Does the new "Dekar-Hydraxon" have any memory of Dekar deep within?

5) Is the Marendar stopable?

6) You are amzing Greg!

Thanks!

Also got a few new questions:

7)  Is Kumo one of the artists of "Kumo Rocks"?

8) What was Jaller's job on Metru Nui?

9) What mask did Naho where? The Kakama that layed nere her body?

10)

       A. Why was Lhikan gold in colour? Anything with story to do or just set designers?

       B. Would Nidhiki have silver or gold or would he only be green?

11) Do you know the elements of the 3 other Toa Mangai, and if so, what were they?

Thanks Again!

Not sure what you mean. Are you asking me to compare 2001-2010 BIONICLE to 2015 BIONICLE?

Yeah!

Which one do you think looks the best

a: The really old ones with the light up swords.

b: The ones they had before bioncle closed down.

c: The new ones.

I vote A

Aaaaaaah, all these years and you're still getting us. Joking My original question still stands, though: was this a trick only he could pull off, or could anyone figure it out?

I remember asking tis question earlier in the year: the protodermis pillars were a defensive wall for Metru Nui.

Sorry, I don't do this kind of thing. My focus was always on story, not sets, so I don't feel qualified to do a set comparison.

Hey Greg:

1) Are krana AI controlled like the other MU inhabitants?

2) How did Teridax know about the core processor? Was he around during Metru Nui's construction?

3) Was Teridax the first Makuta created? It would certainly explain how he knows so much about the workings of the MU.

4) I know you've been asked about him before...Is the Toa of Plasma that Zaktan attacked in the RS?

5) We know that matoran creation is controlled by Mata Nui. So no matoran could have been created during the Great Cataclysm, when he was in a coma, right?

5) Would the psionic powers of Annona or one of the Sisters of the Skrall affect an MU inhabitant?

6) Do MU inhabitants need to eat and sleep less than the agori and glatorian?

When a previous message asked if the Shadow Takanuva wore the Kanohi Avohkii, you answered that they "would not wear masks that promote peace and light". However, in the same post, you said that their masks looked like the 2008 Avohkii (the one that was partially drained of light). This is a little confusing to me, so if you don't mind my asking, can you clarify what the situation is with the Shadow Takanuva's masks?

1. Do the Shadow Takanuva wear Kanohi Avohkii?

2. If these Kanohi Avohkii have been light-drained, does that mean their powers have changed?

3. What are the powers of the Shadow Takanuva's masks?

Thank you for your time.

1) Not sure what you mean by "controlled" in this case.

2) Teridax knew he was a robot. He knew how to disable the robot, which means he had found out how it worked. So he would know it had a core processor.

3) Not to my knowledge. Even if he had  been, he would have been first by maybe an hour or two.

4) No.

5) The only thing I recall us saying about this is that Turaga had to authorize the creation of new Matoran. I don't recall us saying Mata Nui had to be awake for this to happen.

6) I tend to doubt it.

7) Yes

Could you say, did Mask of Creation in old Bionicle looks like that in the new one ? I mean shape, not color.

Hey Greg, how do the inhabitants aboard the Red Star not starve to death? Is there some sort of recharging station on board like the ones used in Metru Nui, or maybe an energy pool like at Daxia?

Well, are they AI constructs like Matoran and Toa?

Hi mr Greg

1. Why does there's not many GB? I have a theory that some of GB have quit spherus magna before the discovery of EP for colonized the others planets or exploring the galaxy. The other GB have remained on SM this would explain why does there's not many of GB.

2. The GB may die of old age? Or the GB have an special implant for stop or slow the aging?

3. The kanohi mask are magical mask or a form of advanced technology?

4. The species that were altered by the GB Like the skopio and iron wolf can still reproduce? Or it have lost this ability?

5. What is the extended of telepathic power of tren krom? It has been mentioned that it was huge even more powerful than those of makuta. Can you give me an exemple of what TK can do of more that the makuta please.

6. During my last question you said that the GB does not have the interstellar travel. Is that the GB have the technology for travel through the wormhole? And in same time i also wondered if the GB have the tech for accelerate the evolution of other species?

7. The GB have accelerate the evolution of some species of spherus magna Like the agori and glatorian and vorox? Or the GB have preferred to watch the species of SM evolved naturally?

8. What role will play the red star now that the MU is destroyed? I would think that the GB Angonce will improve the RS so he can resurrect the ancient people of the MU. Maybe the people of SM.
