Are the Bahrag capable of creating more Bohrok-kal?

Are the Bahrag still capable of making Bohrok-kal, if they wantto!

Hi Greg. I've been wondering. You said that you aren't involved with the new Bionicle, but is there a new head of story team or at least someone who is in the same position you were once in to potentially answer questions about the new line's story?

Yes. Whether or not anyone from the new team will come on the LMBs, I do not know.

Probably not. With the MU gone, what they need to create them is probably inaccessible to them.

Greg,
You have stated time and time again that romantic love between Matoran is non-canon. I, however, have a theory on this. Maybe romance is canon in an alternate universe. This would explain why there is clearly romance in the Bohrok Animations, and MNOG. It's because it takes place in an alternate universe. The real events in the main universe are similar, but without the romance. In fact, this theory would explain everything non-canon. Thank you for listening to my ramblings, and have a nice day.

Sorry, there is no way I could come out and designate MNOG as happening in an alternate universe. The fanbase would have a screaming fit.

You once told that you wanted to name Comic 7 of the Ignition Series called "Mask of Life, Mask of Doom" to "Mask of Life,Mask of Death" instead of Doom. Why was it not allowed if there's "Death of a Hero" or "The Death of Mata Nui"?

Because standards change over time. The first actual physical fight in a comic didn't happen until 2006, I think. Prior to that, I was never allowed to show that.

Hi Greg-

First off, I've been a fan of Bionicle since 2007 (when I joined) and I have collected a few books from the beginning of the saga (including book 1 of the original Toa story). Happy Here's my question: There are a few inconsistincies with the Glatorian stroryline and the original storyline. In Mata Nui's story that was on the website, Mata Nui says that he landed on Aquos Magna and said the leaders became the Turaga and "all memories of working in a robotic universe were erased from the minds of all but the Turaga", implying that they landed on Aquos Magna and were immediately were on Mata Nui. Yet the Turaga talked about living in Metru Nui, many years before they arrived at Mata Nui. Was Metru Nui like a representation of living in the Mata Nui robot? Another thing: Makuta claims he hurled the Mask of Life "deep into the cosmos, never to return", and there is even a picture of the mask in deep space, but the mask was on Aqos Magna, which is right next to Bara Magna, so either the mask made a huge ciricle, or Makuta is horrible at throwing.

Face palm <-- Makuta

1) The Matoran of Mata Nui originally lived on Metru Nui, which was the brain of the robot. Due to a plot by Makuta, they were sealed in canisters which had the affect of shrinking them physically and erasing their memories of Metru Nui.

2) If you shoot something into space, you always run the risk of it being caught by the gravity of another body. Makuta is a lot of things, but he is not a rocket navigator.

Uh, Greg? Hi. One question. Are there going to be any more contests that make the winners charecters Canonical. .

I can't see that happening for old BIONICLE, and I have no idea if they will do that for new BIONICLE.

I mean like those early contests like the rahi contest and the dark Hunters contest.

Both of those contests were tied into books that Scholastic was doing. I have no idea if any of that sort of book will get done for new BIONICLE. But, given that the goal of new BIONICLE seems to be to make a line that is LESS complex than old BIONICLE, it wouldn't make a lot of sense to do contests that result in dozens of new named characters being added to the universe.

But, theoreticaly, due to there being an infinite number of alternate realities, there are infinite versions of how a set of events could have transpired. This means there is a infinitely high chance of any non-canon events of MNOG happening in an alternate reality.

Hi, Greg. I am a fan of your work on the old Bionicle, and a BZPower member. Anyway, I got some questions:
1. In Mata Nui's set form in 2009, he holds a Thronax launcher, while in the story, he doesn't. Is it canon that Mata Nui ever held the launcher in the story at all?
2. Can any character with Lightning/Electricity powers control lightning storms and machinery?
3. What inspired you to create Vezon's funny personality. A lot of people in BZPower say that he reminds them of Gollum, Deadpool, and the Joker. Just asking.
4. In Hero Factory's Doom Box book, are the reptilian-faced makers of the Doom Box the Great Beings from Bionicle? I ask that question because they seem to be creating powerful devices, like the Great Being created the Great Spirit Robot.
5. Why did Hero Factory's Secret Missions book series stopped?
6. Do literally all Matoran, Toa, and Turaga of Air speak with Treespeak, or is it just a Metru Nui/Mata Nui thing?
7. Other than Toa, Matoran, Turaga, Bohrok, Bohrok Va, Bohrok-Kal, and Rahkshi, can other species in the Matoran Universe form Kiata/fusion, like, for example, Skakdi and the Makuta species?
8. Can two Toa, or members of other species, form a Kiata, too?
9. I know that Zaktan is a mutant, but some BZPower members have a theory that he could have been exposed to some mutagenic substance. Would you assume that's true? Or is it that Zaktan is (accidentally) born this way?

Please take your time to answer my questions. Smile

Like I said - there is no way I am designating MNOG as happening in an alternate reality. None. I would be mobbed by the entire fanbase just so that a few people who want to think there are love stories in BIONICLE can be happy. If you want love stories in BIONICLE, you can set them among the Agori on Spherus Magna.

That's not what I'm saying. You have already stated that it is partially non-canon. I'm saying that anything non-cano would be canon in an alternate universe. MNOG wouldn't take place in the alternate universe, a alternat version of it would. Certain event's didn't happen in the prime universe, but they theoreticaly would in an alternate universe. This would also apply to games like Bionicle Heroes, which would chronically the Toa Inikas travels if there had been Visorak. And Rhakshi. And Roodaka. And if Sidorak wasn't dead.

By the way, I know Love is Non-canon, and I completely agree with that descion, and the reasoning behind it. I was just using it as an example for my alternate-timeline theory.

And I love alternate timeline theories. But to make them work, you need to explain WHY something changed. Why did the GBs (or Velika) provide the Matoran with the capacity for romantic love, when it  would serve no purpose in a purely work-oriented society? To posit a theory that such a timeline exists, you need to be able to say why it spun off from the prime reality.
