A couple of questions:

1. Can Toa forge a mental link with other Toa?

2. Can Toa of Light absorb Skakdi's Visions? For example light or heat vision?

3. Can we find salt water inside the Matoran Universe? Or maybe "salt protodermis"?

4. Is Botar's species capable of interplanetary travels?

5. Can some of the species (for example: Skakdi) survive being frozen in a block of solid ice for... a few months? Or years?

You misheard. Teridax was not even a legally approved BIONICLE word until years after that.

How long ago did Norik, Iruini, Bomanga, Pouks, Kualus, & Gaaki become Toa?

Is Dume the hero that Norik honours with his Kanohi?

1-2) I don't have this info. We never assigned dates to these events, to my knowledge.

3) No one ever officially stated that.

Mr. Farshtey, I have a few questions about the makeup/functionality of Krana.

1.  Are they organic, or BioMechanical?

2.  How do they give a physical attribute to a Bohrok.  Say, a Krana Vu giving a Bohrok flight.  Does it initalize a system that was already placed in the Bohrok's physical systems, or does it somehow provide levetation through the Krana itself?  I guess the same question could be asked of Great and Noble masks also.

3.  If they are organic, how do they override programing of the being they "inhabit?"

Finally I would like to say I really enjoyed your writing in the original Bionicle series.  You gave great insight into what the Bionicle relm was like.

  Thanks!

1) Organic

2) The official story has always been the power resides in the krana, just as it does in a mask.

3) The nuts and bolts of this were never defined (we normally did not define things like that). We know they were designed to override the AI, so it might have been some kind of a latent mind control-like power of some sort. That's one theory, anyway, but I can't say it's the right one.

Hello again!

I have a few questions this time, about Rahi and the Kanohi Faxon.

1. Could aspects of a Rahi's physiology be copied by a Faxon, such as gaining the strength of an Ash Bear, or being able to turn into a Lightning bolt like an Avohkah?

2a Was there a limit to the distance that a Fader Bull could teleport?

2bi Was the Fader Bull's ability to teleport with its herd but also its unfortunate tendency to appear inside solid objects to do with its level of intelligence?  Being a herd animal, it would have probably possessed some sort of shared consciousness with the rest of the herd, allowing it to remain with them, but its actual sense of direction and distance - not to mention understanding of the teleportation itself - would have given it poor control over it.  That's my theory, anyway.

2bii If so, would a Faxon user (provided that they were an intelligent, sentient being) have been able to use the Fader Bull's ability almost like a Kualsi?

Thanks!

Has this been missed, by any chance?

Not missed, exactly, but I need to research the Faxon before I can answer.

Has the Faxon research been completed, then?

1) I would say no.

2a) Yes.

2b) I have no idea what the originator of the Rahi had in mind (since it was fan-created). My theory always was that, as with the Kualsi, you had to be able to see where you were going to teleport there. The fader bulls have awful short-term memory, so they would see where they were going, then forget it and wind up going somewhere else a foot or two to the right or left of their original destination (maybe they wind up the last place they glanced before triggering the power).

2bii) Yes

1) Yes

2) I think in words, not pictures, so I never pictured what Helryx's armor looked like.

Hey Greg, a couple of questions.

1. I know you had nothing to do with the first 3 movies, but I have to ask: Do you have any idea what happened to Takua's Pakari when he puts on the Avohkii? Or at least some theory? He puts the Avohkii on over his Pakari, so did the Pakari just disintegrate, or fuse with him or something?

2. Of the same nature, any idea how Takanuva was revived from just his mask?

3. You once mentioned that Toa would normally find the Tryna immoral, as they would a Makuta mask. Could the Tryna actually BE a Makuta mask?

4. What would the Bahrag be doing on Spherus Magna? It seems that they really don't have a purpose anymore...

5. Did Takanuva ever get a Suva?

6. Related, were the Toa Nuva's Suva relocated to Spherus Magna (not counting Tahu's)?

7. I recall you saying that the Makuta were never biomechanical in the sense that Matoran are. Before their bodies reached a gaseous state, were they camparable to, say, insects, with soft tissue protected by armor?

8. Most of the time, villains just address Toa as "Toa." However, in Swamp of Secrets, Gorast addresses Gali by name. Unlike Teridax, she never had any personal dealings with the Toa Nuva. So, my question is, were the Toa Nuva well known among the Brotherhood?

Thank you.

1-2) The best I could offer would be speculation, which would most likely wind up contradicted by something said elsewhere. Since I didn't work on the movies, I have no idea what the writer's intent was.

3) It's certainly possible

4) Unless some useful purpose was found for krana

5) Doubt it. There is no evidence he ever had or wore any mask but the Avohkii

6) Good question. I would be kind of surprised if they survived the crash

7) Yes

8) Yes. I am sure Teridax would have shared information on them.

4. So wait, could the Bahrag potentially ally with/join the Matoran/Agori society if the society found a way to incorporate Krana into itself?

More:

1. When Teridax took over the Great Spirit robot, did he lose his physical status as a Makuta? If he was still biologically a Makuta, his antidermis would've just leaked out when the robot was "killed." What I'm asking is: when he possessed the robot, did his life force become dependent on the functionality of the robot, and therefore lose his previous ability to simply leave the body when it was damaged?

2. Does Voporak have any sentience beyond his "I've gotta find the Vahi" mentality?

3. The BS01 wiki says that Avohkah are exctinct. Is this true?

4. The Aki and Rua were created by combining the Hau, Kakama, and Pakari, and the Kaukau, Miru, and Akaku, respectively. Am I correct in assuming this is the only way to create these masks, and it would be impossible to forge them the way you could any other mask?

5. Another Kaita question: Akamai is male, but one of his "component Toa" is female. When it comes to determining a fusion's gender, is it a majority rule? Meaning if most of the beings combining are male, the resulting being will be male?

6. When Mata Nui cured the mutated Pit residents, did he completely undo the mutations, or simply make them amphibious without changing their appearances?

7. Not all Matoran can become Toa, but can all Toa, provided they've served their purpose, become Turaga?

8. Some pages on BS01 say the Vizorak's Gate playset is non-canon, smply because it never appeared in the story. However, unlike Race for the Mask of Life, it doesn't contradict canon. So is it completely non-canon, or was it something that existed in the story, but never touched upon?

9. Non-story related: the playsets only lasted three years. Did they sell very well?

Last but not least: thank you for taking time out of your schedule to stay in touch with the fans. We all appreciate it.

Hi, Greg. I wonder if Botar and his species could teleport themselves from Matoran Universe into the Red Star?

Since Botar has not teleported himself back to the MU after his death, I would have to guess no.

Wouldn't it make sense that Botar would've not WANTED to, or perhaps their was a force that prevented such? Or maybe Mata Nui intervened, or maybe Botar thought Mata Nui wanted him to stay at the Red Star.

I think there being some sort of screen that prevents teleportation to and from other than with the machinery does make sense. Mata Nui was in no shape to intervene at that point.

Uhh, Gaaradus teleported there and back when it wasn't working. And I was thinking more along the lines of he might've mentally done someting to influence Botar or something.

No. Gaardus was teleported up by the red star, he did not teleport himself up. And it has been stated that he was teleported back down before the system broke down. So he did not teleport when the system was not working.

But didn't he teleport Pohatu and Kopaka with him a second time?

It's okay. But if Gaaradus teleported  there, wouldn't Botar's be stronger? I would think it would've made sense that Botar believed that Mata Nui didn't want him to leave or something.

Hi, Mr. Farshtey!

It's been a while since I asked you questions, but after a lot of thought, I've come up with a few that are particularly interesting to me!  Here we go!

  1. Why did the Nynrah Ghosts make Exo-Toa armor compatible with Toa if the Makuta commissioned them? What was the original intent of having a Toa pilot them?
  2. Was Turaga Dume’s staff his Toa Tool transformed, or was it a separate Badge of Office, like Vakama’s Firestaff or Nokama’s Trident?
  3. Could the bearer of a Mask of Mutation use the mask on themselves to give themselves a new appearance or powers, perhaps as a method of disguise?
  4. If one were to fire six Toa Disks of different elements at the same target simultaneously, would this create a Toa Seal?

Thanks for your consideration!  I hope you are doing well!

I believe these may have been buried...
