Hi Mr. Farshtey, I have a few questions:
"Ninjago 8: Destiny of Doom" graphic novel
1. What was the purpose of the Ignition Key? Garmadon shows it to the Ninja, but he doesn't use it later.
2. How Garmadon teleport himself and the Ninja? Cole say something about gates, so did Garmadon know about some portals scattered around the world? Or maybe it was the purpose of the Ignition Key?
3. When was Garmadon's machine built? Before or after the events from "Stone Cold"?
4. Was there any name for Garmadon's machine in comic script? Or was it just "ultimate weapon"?
Other
5. In various media Garmadon (during his exile in Underworld) uses many different powers:
- In TV show he can appear in Ninjago as a shadow and create shadow warriors.
- In both TV show and "Stone Cold" he can create illusions.
- In "Stone Cold" he form water in shape of his body.
- In flashback from "Destiny of Doom" he hypnotize himself and Samukai.
So my question is: Were his powers described in the story bible? Or maybe you create them (the ones from graphic novels) based on what was written about Garmadon in the story bible?

Since they're all exiles, is there a chance Metus, Strakk and Tuma may become Dark Hunters?

Hey Greg, sorry if someone already asked this. Is the new 2015 Bionicle line still linked to the previous time? Because I know that they were dragged through time to the island of Okoto and when I saw the videos, they looked like their Toa Nuva forms.

Also, is the new line going to branch away from the original Bionicle timeline to start its own or is it eventually going to link back?

A few days ago Christian Faber released some concept art of Mata Nui in his giant robot form scaled next to Earth. These images show Mata Nui to be 3158 kilometers tall, or about 10 million feet, as opposed to the 40 million feet we have heard earlier. Could we consider this new size canon, given that it would actually make the scale of everything more logical? In this version, the whole robot is about the size of Europe, and the island of Mata Nui is the size of Denmark. However in the 40 million foot tall version, he is about th diameter of Earth, making the island the size of Europe instead. Also this would mean that Spherus Magna and the other planets in the Bionicle story could be a more realistic size.

Hey Greg, is it true that a Matoran Universe day lasts 36 hours? If not how long is a Matoran Universe Day?

Greg will not answer questions about the new lore. Bionicle Gen 1 lore questions only.

Since I have no idea of the genesis of this art, or if it was considered canon at the time it was made, it's not something I can comment on.

I saw that there was some debate about this elsewhere, but I frankly don't remember ever discussing this in the past. I rarely answered questions that sprang from the sundial since that was not a story element I knew much about.

As Tonks said, I do not answer questions re: new BIONICLE, as I am not involved with it at all.

If the DH decide to recruit from Spherus Magna natives, maybe, but not sure if they would do that.

1-3) Unfortunately you are asking questions about a book I wrote two years ago, and which I do not have a copy of, so it is difficult to provide accurate answers.

4) No.

5) I don't recall there being any comprehensive list of his powers in a story bible. But hypnosis is easy, anyone can do that, pretty much, with the right training. And in Stone Cold, we are flashing back to the time he was in the Underworld and manifesting himself on Ninjago in various ways - I felt he would have a more dark magic feel during this time.

Wait, you wrote the ninjago books? I've just heard about you and already am a big fan! Joking

I want to ask 3 questions:

1.Do prefer that Nya married Jay or Cole?

Jammers
I think Jay

2.What inspired you while writing your books

3.Have You seen Frozen? What's your favorite song?

Jammers
I like Let it GO

Please reply!!!

1) Makes no difference to me.

2) I generally know what kind of story I need to tell going in, and after writing for 25+ years, I have a lot of practice coming up with plots.

3) I have a 4 year old girl, so I have seen Frozen many, many, many times.

Hi, Mr. Farshtey!

It's been a while since I asked you questions, but after a lot of thought, I've come up with a few that are particularly interesting to me!  Here we go!

  1. Why did the Nynrah Ghosts make Exo-Toa armor compatible with Toa if the Makuta commissioned them? What was the original intent of having a Toa pilot them?
  2. Was Turaga Dume’s staff his Toa Tool transformed, or was it a separate Badge of Office, like Vakama’s Firestaff or Nokama’s Trident?
  3. Could the bearer of a Mask of Mutation use the mask on themselves to give themselves a new appearance or powers, perhaps as a method of disguise?
  4. If one were to fire six Toa Disks of different elements at the same target simultaneously, would this create a Toa Seal?

Thanks for your consideration!  I hope you are doing well!

I believe these may have been buried...

1) Who else would do it? Fighting the Bahrag is a dangerous job. If some Toa got killed doing it, the Makuta wouldn't care.

2) No idea.

3) No.

4) They would have to hit simultaneously and pretty much at the same spot, so it would be hard to do.

Hello Mr Greg

Is that Teridax has influenced Matoro to sacrifice? We know that Teridax can influence the other persons to do all he wish by subtly implanting an idea in the minds of others as he did with the Piraka and Toa Likhan. And i have another question about this capacity this ability is one of many facets that Teridax can do with his telepathic powers?

1) No. Matoro did what he did because he was a hero.

2) Yes
