1) It would make sense

2) Yes

3) Not really for BIONICLE, no. While I did use to read a lot of comics (I had to give them up last January, just got to be too expensive a hobby), I really don't read s-f or fantasy much at all.

Do Matoran have teeth?

And how do they hear - do they have ears or some sort of devices for that?

1) Not to my knowledge

2) They have audio sensors

Hi, Mr. Farshtey!  I hope you are well!  I have some questions for you:

  1. Say a Toa wanted to simultaneously incapacitate a large group of foes he/she was battling, but did not want to risk the destruction that comes with performing a Nova Blast—could they draw on a smaller amount of their elemental power, like maybe a quarter of it, and create a smaller, more contained blast?
  2. Why did Kongu decide to discard his Toa Tool upon receiving his Cordak Blasters? I understand that, literally, it was a set issue, but story-wise, it seems foolish for him to have done so.
  3. Is the Shadowed One’s Recorder a member of a known species, or is he a being we have not encountered yet? Did you envision him as a particular species?
  4. Ancient’s boots are powered by levitation Kanoka, and he is seen using them in his confrontation with Vezok 7,000 years ago. However, according to BS01, Kanoka Disks were invented in Ko-Metru 4,000 years ago.  Is it possible that prototype Kanoka technology existed prior to this time, and that the technology was merely perfected 4,000 years ago?  This would seem to resolve the apparent time paradox…

Thanks for your time!

Hi Mr Greg

1. Mata Nui explored the all of the system of solis magna? Because for one hundred thousand years of spatial travel I think he would have had time to explore it in full.

2.The Red Star is used to push out Mata Nui of gravitational field of a planet. But when Mata Nui is in space it can continue to travel in space independent of the RS? or Mata Nui needs the RS for its space travel?

3. If the Red Star would be damaged for some reason to a point where the RS is no longer operational while he is in orbit around a planet. Is the GSR had some kind of plan-b to leave the planet? Or he would be trapped on the planet?

4.In the comic the exile's tale Malum had at one point an identical weapon to the Cordak shooter. This mean that Cordak guns were based on these weapons?

1) He most likely went beyond that solar system

2) When MN is in space, the RS is attached to its back to provide additional boost.

3) Something would have to be done to replace it.

4) This means the artist had to work with existing models, as opposed to making up something new.

1) But that would imply interstellar travel, wouldn't it? You never stated that Mata Nui was definitely incapable of interstellar travel, but you said that he was incapable "so far as we know". The question back then was about whether the Great Beings were capable of building spaceships and travelling the stars, and your answer was: "Mata Nui was capable of space travel, but not so far as we know interstellar travel, so I would say yes to space ships, no to traveling among the stars." Did you change your mind (as your answer wasn't definite back then) or does the "older answer takes precedence" rule apply here?

2) Actually, Teridax was supposed to take over the Mata Nui robot, while Mata Nui was supposed to take over the second robot. Though I never understood why - I always thought it would have been easier for Teridax to take over the second robot, instead of having both Mata Nui and Teridax switch into a new body...

A few questions if you please:

7. Were Antidermis-based beings always exempt from the Red Star, or just after their evolution?

8. Do you think Helryx has completed her destiny, and could become a Turaga?

9. Would you consider Marendar to be humanoid/anthropomorphic/whatever or more abstract? I understand story development on it ended rather abruptly.

10. Am I correct in assuming a Toa's destiny can be made permanently unobtainable, barring them from becoming a Turaga?

11. How exactly did the Toa Nuva complete their destiny if the Ignika woke up Mata Nui? Did they just have to be involved in some way, rather than a specific method?

12. So, Glatorian have latent Elemental powers? That's what Mata Nui made it sound like when he granted them.

13. Has the Kraahkan reformed after being reduced to atoms? It sounded like it would eventually.

Thank you.

7) Always

8) Yes

9) Humanoid

10) What is that assumption based upon?

11) Without the Toa Nuva, how does Ignika do what it did?

12) Can you reference the Mata Nui line you are referring to?

13) Not yet, no

7. Why?

7) The RS is designed to work only with protodermis, not antidermis. Keep in mind the Makuta did not even exist at the time the RS was built.

7. Oh, okay. Was Antidermis known of? If so, did the Makuta plan for the Makuta to exist? If so, wouln't if they got smashed be allowed onto the Red Star. Couldn't Mata Nui have altered it?

1. Would it be reasonable both elements as a whole were slightened to compensate?

1. Was the outcome of the Gen.1 story close to what it would have been prior to cancelling, just with less lead up? Or was Teridax supposed to die another way in the "Pre-cancellation" idea for the end?

2. Where the things in The powers that be and Yesterday's quest, Such as Marendar, Velika's true identity, and the Red Star things that the story team discussed, or your own ideas you put in after the line was cancelled?

3. If the Ignika wiped out the MU, or Mata Nui died, would the matoran stil be revived on the Red star? Seems like that many at once might cause some damage.

4. Are the six piraka dead for all intents and purposes?

5. The Agori and Glatorian, in art, set and movie forms, all seem to have identicle face structure. Do you think the species are related in some way?

6. Do you think, if/when Bionicle gen 2. continues for a while and creates its own identity, LEGO will allow you to continue the old stories left hanging? More importantly, would you have an interest in doing so if they did?

Thanks a lot!

Hello again!

Something about Toa abilities that I was curious about.  We all know that the three principle manifestations of Elemental Powers for a Toa are creation of that Element, manipulation of that Element and absorbtion of that Element (aside from Toa of Gravity and Psionics).  However, I have recently been wondering whether a Toa could detect their Element, such as a Toa of Iron being able to tell whether there was metal in the ground beneath him.  Do Toa have this ability?

By the way - thank you very much for your time here.  I know that you are very busy, and I think that it's amazing that you think it worthwhile to give up the spare moments that you have to engage with us.

I'M WRITING A STORY IN THE BIONICLE FORUM.IT'S CALLED GAPORANK,TOA OF TIME;AN OLD BIONICLE STORY.I HAVE SOME QUESTIONS FOR THINGS I'M GOING TO WRITE.

1.CAN MISERIX OR ANY OTHER MAKUTA IMPLANT THE ELEMENT OF SHADOW IN A MATORAN WITHOUT A SHADOW LEECH OR AN AVSA?

2.CAN A TOA SACRIFICE ONLY THE HALF OF HIS/HER TOA POWER?

3.CAN I USE A FAKE NAME AS ''THE SHADOWED ONE'S'' ''REAL'' NAME?

4.CAN I WRITE THAT ARTHAKA IS SECRETLY A TOA?(ALONG WITH KARZAHNI).

5.THE TOA SET FORM OF MATA NUI IN 2009 IS CANON?(BECAUSE I PLAN TO USE IT).

6.WHAT ARE EXACTLY THE POWERS OF THE NUI STONE?

7.CAN ANTIDERMIS MULTIPLIE FROM SOME RESIDUCES OF IT?

8.NOW SOMETHING OUTSIDE THE STORY.HOW THE MAKUTA CAN SHAPESHIFT?Face palmConfused

I ALSO WOULD BE PLEASANT TO READ WHAT I HAVE WRITTEN SO FAR AND TELL ME YOUR OPINION.

1) No

2) I'm not sure what you mean

3) This is fan fiction. It's not official, so you can do what you want in fan fiction. That's the point of it.

4) He's not.

5) Yes

6) The Nui stone absorbs Toa power in a 3000 kio radius and allows the wielder to tap into it.

7) Not to my knowledge, no

8) Not sure what you're asking. They shapeshift the same way anyone else would shapeshift.

9) I don't read fan fiction, thanks.

1) There was no pre-cancellation idea of the end. We hadn't discussed the end of the story because we had no reason to believe the line would be cancelled until at least the end of 2011.

2) They were my ideas.

3) If Mata Nui died or the Ignika destroyed everyone, they would not be revived on the RS. It would be considered a catastophic failure and the RS is not programmed to deal with that.

4) No. They are part of a merged being. If the being gets dissolved back into its component parts, then they are back. The only issue would be if the merged being dies, in which case they die too.

5) They probably have a common ancestor

6) I doubt very much they will ever allow old story to get promoted again as long as they are doing new story. And I don't blame them, because it would be a distraction and it would confuse newer fans. If a movie studio is doing a remake of an old  movie, they don't rush around making sure everyone gets to see the old one.
