Mr. Farshtey.

May I call you Greg? I would like to ask you which would be the best way to get a book published about custom bionicle charaters? I am currently working on a series of four chapter books similar in size to the bionicle books that you have written, and I have the first one done and the second at about eighty percent. And I just wanted to know if it would be worth the time to finish the rest of the books. If you wish, I could post a sample of the first chapter if that would help.

Please respond as soon as possible.

Here's the situation. Since LEGO Company owns BIONICLE, only a publisher who has the BIONICLE license can publish a BIONICLE book. So you would need to go through those publishers. Given that they already have a full slate of books, I am not sure they would be interested in stories that don't relate to LEGO product.

To piggyback on Greg's answer, it is always possible to release what you've written as fanfiction on websites such as this one.  Plenty of people on the LMB's (and other BIONICLE-related fansites) have done so--it's a fun way to show your own interpretation and love for BIONICLE!  It's not publishing, per se, because you don't make money off of it, but it's a great way to let people see, read, and respond to your work!

Good luck with your project!  I hope it goes well!

1) Why would it mean that? SM inhabitants are completely different from MU inhabitants.

8) Yes, and why does any meditate?

1) Velika cannot become a Toa, so it's irrelevant.

2) We have never said the spirit takes on physical substance. It's data, basically and it gets released via the mask, the same way you can use certain programs to release data from your computer.

Dear greg i have a few questions:

1: Did Artakha remember the great beings and what they looked like?

2: Did Artakha know he was in a giant robot?

Thanks!

I figured as much. Thanks for answering so quickly. I wondered if it was a possiblity to publish the book without the BIONICLE name. I could do something like: based off of the Bionicle series. I've seen a few Star Wars fanfiction in my local library that have done that.

Thanks for all the help! Smile

Wait, wait, hang on a second... What did you say?....

But in The Kingdom alternate universe, he was a Toa...

"His destiny achieved, Takanuva had sacrificed his power to bring a new generation of Toa into being. These included Toa Kapura, Toa Balta, Toa Dalu, Toa Velika, Toa Defilak, and a new Toa of Light, Tanma."

Right. But where in that story does it state that is Velika the Great Being? As I recall, that was Matoran Velika, not Velika with a Great Being inside.

A robot army, possibly. Probably not a living army.

I don't know about that. I think if you are using the trademark, you have to get permission from the company that owns it.

Can you explain why Velika can't become a toa?

As I understand it, he's quite matoran, except for his mind, so what bars him from becoming a toa?

He's a Matoran physically, but not mentally. He does not have Matoran AI, and what's buried in the AI plays a part in whether you are destined to be a Toa or not. So a Matoran who is not really a Matoran is not going to become a Toa.
