I have a few questions.

1. Is Dume native to Metru Nui? I thought I read somewhere he was.

2. Teridax kept a few Makuta alive to create Kraata because he couldn't do it in the robot. How long did he keep them alive?

3. On that note, does a Makuta have sole control over their own Kraata, Rahkshi, and Infected Masks? Or is it any Makuta? I'm asking because if Teridax didn't make the Kraata after he took over the robot, how could he control them if someone else made them?

4. If a Makuta dies, and someone is wearing a mask they infected, what happens to that being? Are they freed, or do they remain a drone until the mask is removed?

5. Are/were there ever any Kestora inside the actual robot?

1) I can't recall us ever writing anything saying that he was.

2) Well, they would still have been alive when he went to Bara Magna, but I doubt they survived his death.

3) Kraata would respond to the Makuta with the stronbgest will, and that would be Teridax.

4) They would be waiting for guidance that did not come.

5) No

6. Are Kestora about the same height of a Matoran? That's kind of the impression I got from the illustrations.

7. If you die inside the Red Star, you can't be revived, right? That explains the dissected corpses.

7b. If so, what if the Kestora died? Would they just stay dead, with no backup?

8. Could the Red Star be reverse-engineered to work on Bara Magna? So that MU beings could be revived in the future?

9. Are Zyglak doomed to extinction? They can't be revived on the Red Star, only Great Beings can make more, and non have even left the robot yet.

10. Was Tren Krom made of protodermis?

11. Did the Great Beings base Tren Krom on Annona at all? They're both tentacles monstrosities with mental powers.

12. How well known was Tren Krom? several places were named after him, but it seems like he was more of an "undercover" type being.

Thank you.

8) What illustrations?

9) I don't think their prospects look too good, but you never know.

10) Organic protodermis, yes

11) No.

12)" I don't know that he was enormously well known, but then we have things in our world named after people that no one remembers or knows much about. Odds are he is seen as a folk tale.

Are there any limits to Avak's prison power? Could he, for example, trap the GSR?

1) No. If we did that, then we have to give Kopaka control over water, too.

2) Intentional on whose part?

3) I doubt very much he would have sufficient willpower to cage something that big and that strong.

Ahkmou was Turaga of Metru Nui during Teridax's reign and is now on Spherus Magna.

Hi Greg!

1a. You have stated previously that Av-Matoran, and no other types of Matoran, are enlarged by the energies of Karda Nui, and that their size shrinks back to "normal" when they leave. However, the Shadow Matoran seem to be the same size as the Av-Matoran. Does this mean that Shadow Matoran also absorb energies?

1b. If so, that would mean they shrink upon leaving Karda Nui, just like Av-Matoran, right?

2a. You've said before that the mutations done by Mutran (such as claws and wings) were not fixed when the Shadow Matoran were turned back into Av-Matoran. When Mata Nui used the Mask of Life to fix the Barraki and other mutated beings, did that fix these mutations on the Shadow Matoran?
2b. You said that the color change to black would take "a bit of time" to return to normal after the Matoran were cured. Had this happened yet by the time that the Matoran Universe was destroyed (end of the 2010 story)? If not, did the Ignika heal that?

Thank you Happy

1) No, it means that they had absorbed suffiicient energy to grow BEFORE they became Shadow Matoran.

1b) Yes

2a) Yes

2b) Yes, he took care of that

Hi Greg,

1. I wanted to know if Kopaka and Pohatu were ever going to make it off the Red Star?

2. Why would hte Kestora want to harm Pohatu and Kopaka instead of telling them to try and get off the Red Star?

3. Have the Kestora been working on repairing the damage to the Red Star? Or have they decided to ignore it?

4. Is there a chance that Pohatu and Kopaka could get back by trying to repair the teleportation mechanism?

5. Do the revived beings on hte Red Star remember all parts of their past lives?

Thank you!

1) Had the story continued, yes, they would have

2) Because they were living beings, so they had no business there. And anyone who had no business there might be responsible for the problems on the RS

3) If they knew how to fix it, they would have fixed it by now

4) I don't know how I would have gotten them out of there, just that I would have

5) Eventually

I happened upon a topic in the BIONICLE area of these boards which touched on G1, and since I am not supposed to post outside of my topic, I thought I would address it here.

It dealt, in part, with the old issue re: the Maori names used for BIONICLE characters back in '01. It was strongly implied that this had something to do with BIONICLE ending. This, frankly, is nonsense. The Maori issue was settled some 8 years before the last BIONICLE sets went on the market, and it never had an impact on set sales. BIONICLE was cancelled because of declining set sales. Period.

On the larger point raised -- the advisability of adopting a different culture's mythos for BIONICLE -- I am not sure I agree. For one thing, a culture's mythos usually has a lot to do with its environment ... so choosing a Nordic mythos for BIONICLE, which is set on a tropical island, probably would not work. Secondly, if BIONICLE was going to do that, they really needed to do it in year one, not now. And thirdly, mixing original terms like Toa with terms from a completely different culture would come across as discordant. I also don't get the impression the goal of new BIONICLE is to introduce a lot of terms most kids won't be familiar with.

1) Really? I was seeing it as similar to Kopaka controlling, say, an ice cube you made in your freezer.

2) On the writer's part.

3) But with the help of psionics toa/skakdi amplifying his willpower, he could?

4) Can a rahkshi of adaptation only adapt to conditions/situations, or can it adapt to attacks in a manner similar to Reidak?

1) No, you are talking about matter in a completely different state. An  ice cube from your freezer is still ice. Melted ice is water, melted sand is glass. Kopaka cannot control melted ice, so why let another Toa control the melted for of his/her element?

2) Well, they have very different connections to dreams. One drains dream energy, and one makes dreams come true. So I don't see them as being all that similar.

3) Do we know that the Psionics power would allow you to boost someone's willpower?

4) No, the intent was not that it would be able to adapt to attacks.

Hello, Greg! Here's my questions.

1) What happened to Metru Nui in Toa Empire alternate universe after leaving of Takanuva and death of Tuyet?

2) What happened to Varian? Is she alive? Or moved to Spherus Magna in stasis tube? And what happened to Conjurer? Is he died?

3) How Kestora appeared in City of Silver pocket dimension?

4) What happened to Zyglak after dismantling of GSR? They can't hide there forever.

5) Can Botar escape from the Red Star, using his teleportation powers?

6) What is Takanuva's destiny? Fuse with Alternate Teridax to create Takutanuva 2.0, maybe?

I didn't create NINJAGO -- I just wrote the graphic novels for it.
