Hey Greg I have a question about Light and Shadow. Say a Light user gets attacked with a shadow blast or vice versa. Is the user smashed?

Smashed?

Saw this... Fyi, The mods on here change the common word for "unalive" (the one that's spelled dee E ay dee) into smashed, despite that word almost never being appropriate for what the user meant to say. (Case in point, this quoted question.)

Also goes for the verb that starts with a k to describe the act of unaliving someone.

Hello! I'm the leader of the Kili Fan Club and  would like to ask Greg: do you like cats? I know it's a little random, but I like to know! Wink

What is your favorite Bionicle mask power?

What is your favorite Toa?

Hero Factory or Bionicle?

And did you come up with the Bionicle concept by yourself? Or did you have help? Or was it someone else all together?

I didn't come up with the BIONICLE concept. I only started working at LEGO Company a few months before BIONICLE was released.

Yes. I had cats for years before I got married and then had to adopt them out because my now ex-wife was allergic. I got a new cat in 2013. Her name is Sapphire.

I doubt there is much information in existence that has not been shared. We didn't invest any time in coming up with what different combinations did.

According to the BS01 wiki, Fe-matoran prefer to live in industrialized areas. Would any of them have lived on Metru Nui?

No, not on Metru Nui.

Why did the original Bionicle theme quit in the middle of a storyline?

So... just an observation I made.

Irnakk: Irnakk is a Skakdi creepypasta. Said to be the ultimate nightmare to the Skakdi. And apparently has something to do with invading dreams if I'm not mistaken?

The golden skinned being: Has dream related abilities. Has gold skin, and is a fusion comprised mostly of Skakdi.

My question is this: Are there any similarities between these two entities, and if so, was there to be any relation between them in the cancelled gen 1 stories?

I have a question somewhat related to that. There has been a theory floating around that the Turaga knew that Takua was the Seventh Toa, a least after the discovery of the Mask of Light. The theory is founded on the principle that the Turaga probably had suspected that Takua was destined to be a Toa anyways, given that he found the Toa Stones. After he found the mask, they simply put two and two together. However they didn't tell him and allowed him to keep up the lie that Jaller was actually the Herald, hoping that the journey would mature him and he would accept his responsibility. This is supported by a comment made by Vakama to Takanuva, that his journey was never meant to be external but internal. There are also speculation that they let Jaller in on it, given by his constant effort to get Takua to take the mask, as well as his famous dying line, "You know who you are."

Was this what was intended by the movie story team? Or if you don't know, do you think that, from an in-universe perspective, this is a plausible thing that might have happened?

1) I think if the screenwriter had this in mind, it would have just been stated in the movie.

2) Certainly the notion of the Turaga keeping secrets is usually a safe one to embrace. My question, though, is this: given what was going on in MOL, with the Rahkshi attack and all, knowing and not telling Takua was actually putting all of the Matoran in serious jeopardy. That does not rule out your theory as being accurate, but I think you would need to tack on why they would continue to keep it secret when the whole island was in mortal peril.

Well... to be fair, the Turaga kind of have the kind of personalities that would allow them to keep such a secret from Takua, all in the name of learning a life lesson while the island is under attack by Teridax's servants XD

Is the great mask of water breathing exclusive to water, or would it also function in liquid protodermis such as that found in the silver sea, and/or the vaccum of space?

Would the same apply to Poison (Purity), Fragmentation (Faith), Disintegration (Creation) and Hunger (Prosperity) too?

I'm not entirely sure what you are asking, so I will try to answer both possibilities --

1) The BIONICLE playtheme ended because of declining set sales. The main storyline for that was wrapped up in the final book in 2010, which was online only, as I recall.

2) The serials ended because I had just become a father, had far less writing time, and what I had needed to be devoted to things I was being paid to write so I could provide for my daughter. Writing the comics and the serials was never a part of my actual job at LEGO and I was never paid extra for it - it was work I did in my own time because I wanted to. And while I have taken heat for that, which is understandable, I put my family first and I won't apologize for that.
