Then how did all these dimensions occure? Did Makuta, Vanisher's species and Zivon just discover them and started using in own purposes?

Actually, BS01 also states that light speed is a power for light wielders, as does every other Bionicle Wiki that I checked. Coincidence? I think not. I highly doubt that whoever "made up" a fact like that could just systematically change each Wiki page without being corrected by the moderator/page creator. I by no means take everything on the Wikis to be gospel, but I have no reason to doubt them either.

Hmm...

It would be very interesting to find where this was mentioned originally...

IRT astroavian,

I thought the same thing when I read it. It's been a while since I read the books, but I can't remember any characters, other than Photok and Umbra, being capable of light speed travel. However, I think I might have an explanation: what sense would it make for a Toa of Light to not have the light powers that Av-matoran could access? He could create hard-light constructs (like the beloved Solek), move at light speed (like Photok) and serve as a source of light energy (like Tanma). I guess it makes sense if you think about it. Toa of Light are still a bit OP though. Like I said, they could just go all Quicksilver on enemies, "freezing" them in time and doing whatever they wanted to them.

Does it say his reactions are increased as fast as his speed?

Regarding the matoran thing, remember the shadow matoran powers were not always makuta powers (I recall one of them had a vertigo power, for example)

I also like to headcannon that Takua's mental link with Gali was actually his Av-Matoran power, since that was never explained. Joking

Hello Mr. Farshtey!

I have some questions about making Kanohi:
1)Is there a Mask of Reconstruct at Random and Mask of Curing Poison (made from reconstructive at random disk and curing poison disk)?
2) Is Kanohi of Ice made from freezing disk.
3)Can someone make Kanohi from protodermis at other form than Kanoka?

Hi Mr. Greg!

I want to ask you some questions:
1)Can Prototype use really weak Nova Blast or create Toa Seal with four Toa?
2)Did Savage or Prototype returned to their prior form thanks to Mata Nui?
3)If yes, were they still DH or created a Toa team?(Just what happened to them?)

Ooh, questions two and three are really good! How about Spinner too? It says that Mata Nui undid mutations and such during the reformation of Spherus Magna. If this applied to the aforementioned mutants, would they have gone back to being good (assuming that they were freed from the mental scars of their ordeals)? I would love to make mocs for Toa "Spinner" (or whatever his original name was), the Toa Kaita of Earth and Fire (prototype) and Savage (a Toa of Earth).

Thanks for thinking of that.

But Spinner wasn't mutated, but rebuilded partly, so he wouldn't be healed.

Hello Greg,

I found a contradiction on those two Glatorian bodies found in Dwellers In Darkness in two sets of quotes of yours. Note that I replaced a certain verb because I can't use it on the boards.

These are from 2009:
“Q) Will we find out why there were the dead bodies inside of Mata Nui’s head at the end of this story arc,[...]?
A) I can tell you why now. They were intended to be pilots, and they died in the Great Cataclysm.”
Follow up:
“Q) [...] Could you please elaborate on their role?
A) They were there in case something went wrong. If there was damage to Mata Nui’s systems, there would need to be a manual takeover. Unfortunately, the damage was so pervasive and so fast that they couldn’t stop its progression and they died in the crash.”
But they were contradicted by these in 2014:
“Q) In Dwellers In Darkness when the Toa Hagah, Miserix, and Zaktan are inside Mata Nui’s brain, they find two corpses [...] Were they Glatorians? If so why were they there?
A) Yes. They were the pilots for the initial launch and were supposed to eject at a certain point, but things didn’t work out that way.”
Follow up:
“Q) I’m assuming [they died because of] the great cataclysm?
A) I actually think they died long before then. Their job was just to get the robot in the air and pointed in the right direction, to be simplistic about it, not to pilot it through the entire mission.”
Follow up:
“Q) So what went wrong? Why didnt they eject?
A) Well, we have to figure on one of two reasons:
1) The eject mechanism failed, or...
2) Something disabled to [caused their deaths] them before they got a chance to use it.

I would vote for #2, myself.”

Wich set of quotes has the correct facts? I imagine the first one takes precedence, but I just wanted to be sure. Also, if the second set is the right one, who or what caused their deaths?

I think this was buried

Buried again...

Hi Greg,
These should be part 1 of 2 of the last questions I have for you, though I have the feeling that just as I'll click on “post” I’m gonna think about another thousand of them =P

1) You once suggested that maybe the reason Vakama didn’t know his mask power despite being a Mask Maker might have been because it was a Kanohi acquired in trade wich was not Metru Nui-styled. In fact, the Metru are the only Metru Nui Matoran shown in visual media having great-shaped versions of their Kanohi. So, what if the reason that Vakama didn’t know his mask power and those of his brothers was that all of them were acquired in trade and were not in the usual style of Metru Nui? Are you fine with this being the official explanation?
2) You said that the GBs came from different tribes. Can we say that at least one Glatorian from each tribe that was still active when they started ruling SM was a GB? Excluding the Rock Tribe because they didn’t have Glatorian species members.
3) Velika would punish the Earth Tribe if he took over SM, right?
4) If Q3 is correct, when you say that Velika might want to recruit the ELs as lieutenants, that does not include the ELoE, right?
5) You once said that part of Velika’s plan involved the zombified MU inhabitants on the RS, (page 775, post 3) could you elaborate on that?
6) By one of your recent answers, it seems that Annona has no gender, and that people can see “her” both as male and female. This seems to contradict some of your earlier answers, in wich you said that Annona was in fact female. So, for clarification, is “she” genderless or female?
7) Did Mata Nui ever observe a specimen of Annona’s species during his travels?
8) Just for confirmation, was the Fire Entity made with viruses and protodermis, and does it have at least some biomechanical componenents?

This was buried too...

Nope, it only says that he can move at light speed. I cna almost imagine him using that power, only to run/ fly right into a boulder or something because he couldn't see or react fast enough Joking My whole point was that those av-matoran powers were sort of latent abilities for a Toa of Light, much in the same way that a Ta-matoran would have a certain degree of heat resistance.

Well, Makuta aren't Toa. What's to say that a Toa of Shadow wouldn't have those shadow matoran powers? We've never seen one, so we wouldn't know.

This is great, by the way. Most of my friends moved on to other things after Bionicle ended, so I never thought I'd get to discuss these questions that bugged me for years with fellow fans. So thanks for the discussion.

IRT Onionshark,
Why can't both explanations be correct? If the eject function broke, the glatorian figured that they might as well make the best of the situation and be on guard to pilot the Robot if things went wrong. I can imagine that the next couple thousand years would have been a bit boring. Then, the Cataclysm happens and they die while trying to fix things. Then again, Greg did say that he wrote the story as he went along, so he could have changed his mind. In that case, I'd trust his most recent explanation.

I have some more questions about elements:

1) Can user of Ice heat gas up so much (by absorbing cold), that it would become plasma (and same question for fire)?

2) Can user of Lightning use electricity to produce so strong electromagnetic field that he would control Magnetism?

3) Can user of Iron absorb himself?

4) Can user of Air (or Vacuum) absorb Air to delete sound?

5) Can user of Gravity make light solid?

6) Can user of  Psionics hurt De-Matoran by creating illusion of loud sound?

7) Can user of The Green create plants that would quickly absorb water and then absorb them resulting absorbing water?

8) Can users of Fire and Air absorb heat and gas at the same time resulting absorbing plasma?

9) Can users of Fire and Ice charge their elemental power by absorbing heat and cold at the same time from one object?

10) How users of Psionics absorb their power?

11) Can six different element Toa absorb the Toa Seal and if yes must they have the same elements as Toa that created that Toa Seal?

12) Can user of element absorb power from the mask of the same element?

13) Is power of Mask of element working for the user of this element like Mask of Elemental Energy?
